Job Purpose: 

MEP Technician is responsible for ensuring that all Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC equipment within the Data Center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. The Technician serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite Engineers and any third-party vendors.  

 Data Center technicians provide an array of technical support to an organization’s Data Center. They help ensure that the servers are consistently running smoothly, but when they’re not running smoothly, Data Center technicians help problem solve and determine resolutions to avoid major downtime. With the virtual nature of Data Centers, security, reliability and availability are of utmost importance 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and daily visual inspections on major Data Center equipment. 
  • Daily checking of the healthiness of all facilities equipment’s and keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. 
  • Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, ELV equipment. 
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility MEP systems.  
  • Maintain and operate all MEP-related systems, associated equipment, electrical equipment, and building management systems. 
  • Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations. 
  • Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus. 
  • Create the Job cards in CAFM (FSI) Mobile App as per Site requirements and close the Job cards on which Engineer assigns. 
  • Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls.  
  • Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.  
  • Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, Electrical systems, ELV system, fire/life safety, and other systems. 
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements. 
  • Maintain essential stock of spare parts. 
  • Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required. 
  • Attend training sessions and seminars. 
  • Other assigned tasks as requested.

What You Can Expect

As our Health and Safety Representative III, at Georgetown University, you will support the implementation of the ENGIE NORAM H&S standard and strategic initiatives at three Washington, DC area campuses.  You will be responsible for all personnel safety training, monitoring and auditing at campus utilities operations, facilities, and construction project sites.  Supports the corporate HSE Director and peers in the development of new, revised, and existing fleet-wide H&S compliance policies, programs, processes and procedures, including interface with ENGIE wide HSE teams.

 

Every day you will support corporate reporting and trend analysis by ensuring that sites report all H&S KPIs via the tools provided, reviewing and revising procedures at the direction of the campus and corporate leadership, as well as answering any compliance questions raised by plant, project management, and corporate staff. You will report to the CEO, Georgetown Energy Partners.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You possess a Bachelor of Science degree, or a combination of a technical diploma and relevant experience
  • You are a Certified Safety Professional (CSP); Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST); or an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or on track to achieve the CSP
  • You have a minimum 5 years relevant experience in Health and Safety
  • You are a subject matter expert in OSHA (US) 1910 and 1926
  • You have the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of management both at the unit and corporate level, as well as governmental agencies
  • You can exhibit root cause failure analysis tools and their application for recordable events 
  • You have experience with behavioral science and the psychology behind influencing change
  • You have experience in commercial and industrial construction environments
  • You have the ability to work with contractors to ensure contractor’s H&S Standards are equal to or exceed ENGIE Northam’s H&S Standards
  • You will conduct regular training, supervision, audits, hazard assessments, mitigation planning, pre-job safety plans, incident investigations, root cause analyses and ensure proper reporting protocols have been fully implemented  
  • You will support all the implementation of the ENGIE H&S standards for ENGIE utilities operations and construction projects, which includes policies, programs, processes and procedures   
  • You will review contractor H&S execution plans including oversight resource requirements to ensure full compliance with ENGIE Group Rules governing contract work 
  • You will modify local H&S procedures as needed to conform to ENGIE NorthAm H&S procedures and ENGIE Group Rules
  • You will develop training programs and/or conducts training on mandated programs, such as lock out tag out, confined spaces, hazardous communication, and medical surveillance

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

Compensation

Salary Range: $100,800 – $134,400 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Wat ga je doen als Field Service Technician Generatoren?

Als Field Service Technician Generatoren binnen European Maintenance Support (EMS) ontwikkel jij je als specialist op het gebied van generatoren en projectmatig onderhoud. Samen met jouw collega’s bereid je grote revisieprojecten voor en zorg je voor de juiste uitvoering, toezicht en nazorg. Dit doe je voor verschillende energiecentrales van ENGIE en samen met collega’s en specialisten van andere vakgebieden zoals elektrotechniek, gas- en stoomturbines, stoom- en drukketels. Jij wordt verantwoordelijk voor:

  • Het organiseren en controleren van onderhoudswerkzaamheden aan industriële generatoren en hulpsystemen, zoals het vernieuwen van elektrische systemen.
  • Het uitvoeren van mechanische en elektrische werkzaamheden aan generatoren en het coördineren van een team monteurs tijdens de uitvoering van projecten.
  • Het beheren van projecten in de voorbereidings-, uitvoerings- en consolidatiefase en het ondersteunen van de projectleider met projectmanagement.
  • Het respecteren en waarborgen van het kwaliteitsplan, inclusief planning, budget, veiligheidsvoorschriften en milieubeperkingen.

Je bent op locatie aanwezig voor het begeleiden, testen en uitvoeren van verbeter- en vervangingsprojecten voor ENGIE. Dit zorgt voor afwisselend werk, zowel qua uitvoering als locatie. Met jouw werkzaamheden zie jij de energietransitie zich ontvouwen. Je werkt binnen een relatief kleine organisatie, maar met de middelen en stabiliteit van een grote multinational.

 

Waar kom je te werken?

Als Field Service Technician Generatoren ben je onderdeel van het EMS-team. EMS zorgt voor het projectmatige onderhoud van onze generatoren in Europa. Dit omvat veel onderhoud om betrouwbaar te kunnen leveren. De afdeling bestaat uit (Senior) Technici en Assistent Projectleiders (APL’s). Daarnaast heb je contact met collega’s van andere expertises en met collega’s van de locaties waar de revisiewerkzaamheden worden uitgevoerd.

 

Wat breng jij mee voor deze functie?

Techniek, grote industriële machines en systemen… Een omgeving waar jij op je plek bent. We snappen dat je nog geen specialist bent op het gebied van generatoren. Wij willen je graag opleiden en de juiste begeleiding bieden. We vinden het vooral belangrijk dat je graag in een team werkt, leergierig bent en vragen stelt om te leren. Als team zorg je er samen voor dat het werk wordt gedaan en de klus wordt geklaard. Daarnaast heb je:

  • Minimaal een mbo-opleiding in de richting Werktuigbouwkunde, AOT of een vergelijkbare opleiding. Je hebt bovendien een enorme drive om jezelf verder te ontwikkelen binnen generatoren.
  • Je bent een teamspeler en gaat veel met jouw team op pad. Je kan en wil contractors aansturen en je begrijpt dat de klus geklaard moet worden. Daarnaast heb jij een “hands-on” mentaliteit en kun jij waar nodig inspringen bij technische werkzaamheden.
  • Je bent in het bezit van rijbewijs B. Certificaten zoals VOL-VCA en werkervaring aan industriële installaties zijn mooi meegenomen.
  • Je beheerst zowel Nederlands als Engels vloeiend (in woord en geschrift).

Het is voor jou geen probleem om indien nodig tijdens de weekenden te werken om geplande en onvoorziene interventies uit te voeren. Het kan zijn dat je een deel van het jaar in het buitenland werkt (meestal Europa, incidenteel buiten Europa). Wij ondersteunen je hierin met overnachting en vervoer. La Global Business Unit Renewables si occupa di progettare, installare e gestire impianti di produzione energetica da fonti rinnovabili, in particolare, eolico, fotovoltaico e agrivoltaico.

Recentemente è stato inaugurato il più grande parco agrivoltaico d’Italia, un impianto innovativo che concilia tecnologia e ambiente, consta di 120 mila pannelli fotovoltaici, con una capacità installata di 66MW. L’impianto, sito tra Marsala e Mazzara del Vallo, produrrà energia rinnovabile per la rete nazionale italiana e per le attività di Amazon

L’obiettivo sfidante della GBU Renewables è di triplicare, entro il 2030, la capacità installata da fonti rinnovabili raggiungendo i 2 GW.

 

Che cosa farai?

Riporterai all’Operation System Manager, in coordinamento con il team Operations&Maintenance, gestirai la supervisione e il telecontrollo di tutti gli impianti della GBU Renewables e gli interventi previsti dai contratti di manutenzione (impianti eolici, fotovoltaici, storage e relative sottostazioni AT e MT). Inoltre ti occuperai di gestire gli eventuali guasti, le attività di manutenzione predittiva, la redazione della documentazione necessaria relativa alle performance e agli eventi accaduti sugli impianti e le procedure necessarie per il ripristino del funzionamento.

 

Quali saranno le tue responsabilità?

  • Seguirai l’operatività della Control Room e degli apparati installati presso gli impianti di produzione;
  • Eseguirai le manovre elettriche su impianti AT/MT, nel rispetto delle norme sulla sicurezza;
  • Controllerai il funzionamento degli impianti di produzione (eolico, fotovoltaico e storage);
  • Comunicherai con TERNA ed E-distribuzione, in accordo con i Regolamenti di Esercizio vigenti;
  • Monitorerai e gestirai la potenza attiva erogata dai parchi a seguito di richieste TERNA;
  • Raccoglierai ed elaborerai i dati di funzionamento degli impianti di produzione;
  • Collaborerai nella programmazione delle manutenzioni;
  • Collaborerai nella predisposizione dei piani di produzione;
  • Aggiornerai giornalmente le disponibilità degli impianti di produzione ai fini del dispacciamento;
  • Supporterai nella redazione delle previsioni di produzione degli impianti;
  • Reperibilità per la supervisione e il controllo degli impianti di produzione da fonti rinnovabili;
  • Comunicherai con il personale tecnico reperibile in caso di fuori servizio parziale o totale degli impianti e/o per le anomalie di stazione e in caso di limitazioni imposte da TERNA/e-distribuzione;
  • Ti occuperai delle attiivtà di pre-fatturazione dell’energia elettrica;
  • Supporterai nel monitoraggio e nella telelettura dei contatori di produzione e di scambio degli impianti;
  • Supporterai e/o gestirai i rapporti relativi agli adempimenti assoggettati al controllo fiscale (Agenzia delle Dogane).

 

Perché tu?

Background:

  • Hai una laurea in Ingegneria dell’automazione, energetica oppure un diploma di perito industriale, con preferenza elettronico/elettrotecnico;

Safety at Work

Reporting and Planning

Use of Tools and Equipment 

 

  • Ensures appropriate tools and equipment are available at work sites and used while performing any job. 

  • Ensures that tools are in a safe and in good working order before use. 

  • Reports loss of tools or damage to any tools to the Lead Mechanical Engineers. 

  • Informs the Mechanical Engineer of any requirements for tools. 

 

Technical  

 

  • Good mechanical engineering foundation and practical knowledge of how it applies to modern power plant and desalination plant processes. 

  • Practical experience of maintaining a wide range of rotating and static equipment gained through hands on experience and formal training 

  • Capable to ensure a safe working environment for himself and his colleagues while working on any equipment. 

  • Assume ownership of plant mechanical equipment and strives to keep them in the best possible condition. 

  • Ability to carry out maintenance activities on a range of major engineering components and systems in accordance with OEM Manuals for the equipment.

What You Can Expect

As the Project Manager II, working in a self-managed team concept, reporting to one of the campus Program Managers. As part of the ENGIE capital projects team based at the University of Iowa, you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the two local University campuses. Projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $15M, with completion of each taking the span of 1-3 years.

 

 

This position is being hired in support of a 50 year concession agreement to operate, maintain and enhance the University of Iowa’s utility system.  The projects you’ll take on will involve numerous and diverse projects in the areas of electric and thermal energy production and distribution, and storm- and wastewater infrastructure.

 

No two days are the same, starting with the development stage  you will be submitting reports and conducting meetings with Team members, subcontractors and stakeholders on a regular basis, providing oversight and sharing updates on projects and planning, solving construction challenges through collaboration  and clearing the path and working towards successful completion. The key measurements of success are successful completion of projects with no health, safety or environmental and public relations,  on time and under budget.  You will be managing contracts for both Design and construction of capital projects within the central plants, and managing project teams made of internal staff, external consultants  and Operations and maintenance staff.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other technical field Or,  a Bachelor’s degree (any major) and an additional two (2) years of Project Management experience in industrial projects in lieu of the Engineering / Technical degree
  • You have a minimum two (2) years’ of project management experience managing the scope development, estimates, stakeholder management, contracting, cost development, cost tracking, project execution, commissioning, and closeout of projects
  • You possess or have the desire to obtain a PMP Certification
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, colleagues, and contractors, including engineers, architects, and construction firms to develop and execute projects
  • You utilize new budgets and cost tracking devices to provide input to long-term financial planning, issue contracts, change contract orders, and process invoices

What You Can Expect

As an Augmented Maintenance Project Support (AMPS) Technician or Traveling Solar, Wind, Bess Technician, your role involves providing onsite support services in the central region of Texas and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for project commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, analysis, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of operational assets. These assets include wind turbines, solar panels, BESS storage technology, and high or medium voltage substations. Your focus will be on optimizing generation availability, improving operational reliability, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Reporting to the Director of Field Services (AMPS), you’ll deliver reactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance support, adhering to NERC requirements for inspection, testing, and documentation. This encompasses a wide range of equipment, from wind turbines and solar inverters to batteries, weather stations, PV arrays, breakers, transformers, regulators, capacitors, and reactors.

 

As an active participant in the behavior-based safety program, ensure that all team members and contractors comply with safety procedures and task-oriented job safety analyses. Communicate and enforce site safety rules through Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and meetings. Demonstrate procedural compliance in site operation and maintenance by following established procedures. Facilitate daily work, including report production. Inspect, operate, and repair site equipment both directly and remotely. Coordinate High Voltage (HV) switching and curtailments with local utilities and the Independent System Operator (ISO). Maintain site equipment to the highest standards for availability, reliability, efficiency, and profitability. Use work planning skills, schedule activities, and follow up to ensure work conformance. Conduct routine inspections, prepare oil analysis samples, and use safety tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Manage on-site work coordination among contractors and vendors, support technology upgrades, and maintain cleanliness. Comply with contractual and legal obligations impacting plant operation. Provide equipment operation training to contractors and other site employees. Consistently apply Job Safety Plan techniques, hazard controls, and permits to work (LOTO) when addressing plant abnormalities and equipment failures. Utilize computerized Work Order, Purchase Requisition, and Receiving software.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/ DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors or Equivalent Military or Trade school
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Battery Energy Storage Systems, (BESS), Wind generation sites, Utility scale power plants, Sub-station POI, or Controls & Instrumentation Maintenance. Renewables Solar and BESS construction experience or commissioning power plants a plus
  • HV Experience. Trades qualifications and certifications acceptable: (HV Lineman, Electrician, Substation Technician, or Controls Technician)
  • Obtain AVO certification or equivalent as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
  • Be proficient in using and maintaining SCADA systems

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring daily travel to client site(s)
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages up to 70% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
  • Ability to travel nationally at short notice and work for periods of time remote from your home to support our operational assets

¿Cuál sería tu objetivo?

Responsable del traspaso de instalaciones de transmisión (Handover), sean líneas o subestaciones eléctricas, desde el área de Implementación de proyectos al área de O&M de Transmisión, asegurando calidad, cumplimiento de normativas técnicas y permisos asociados, para la correcta puesta en servicio y posterior operación de las instalaciones.

 

Funciones:

  • Controlar y coordinar el proceso de traspaso (Handover) de instalaciones de transmisión desde la Gerencia de Implementación de Proyectos (GIP) al área de Operación y Mantenimiento de Transmisión, informando oportunamente las desviaciones a las áreas interesadas.
  • Coordinar la participación de las diferentes áreas involucradas en el Handover, tanto los responsables de entregables como los que reciben, ya sean visitas a terreno o fábrica, pruebas de equipos, inspecciones, caminatas O&M, gestión documental, convenios, etc.
  • Asegurar que el punch-list acordado con Implementación de proyectos, incorpore todos los pendientes, tanto los identificados por área de proyectos, como los indicados en las caminatas O&M, asegurando la documentación digital y física, permisos, información técnica, planos, protocolos, reporte de pruebas, equipos, softwares, etc.
  • Asegurar la calidad de las instalaciones, creando las instancias de retroalimentación al área de Implementación de proyectos para la mejora continua en las especificaciones, ingenierías y buenas prácticas detectadas por personal O&M y/o el grupo ENGIE, documentando dichas mejoras.
  • Aprobar, en conjunto con personal de O&M, los protocolos de pruebas que sean necesarias para asegurar la calidad en la recepción y prueba de equipos.
  • Coordinar la participación temprana y oportuna del personal de O&M, durante la implementación de los proyectos, con visitas a terreno, caminatas y capacitaciones necesarias para operar y mantener las nuevas instalaciones.
  • Reportar e informar frecuentemente el estado de los proyectos a las áreas de O&M para designar los participantes en las distintas etapas del Handover, identificando a tiempo los responsables, administradores de contrato o coordinadores que se requieran en la etapa de operación.

 

Requisitos del cargo:

  • Formación académica: Ingeniería en Ejecución/ Civil Eléctrica, Industrial, Eléctrica, o equivalente.
  • Conocimientos en Gestión de proyectos.
  • Conocimientos en Ejecución de proyectos eléctricos de Líneas y Subestaciones.
  • Conocimientos en Marco regulatorio eléctrico nacional.
  • Conocimientos en Mantenimiento de sistemas eléctricos de potencia.
  • Manejo del proceso de interconexión ante el Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional.
  • Ingles intermedio.
  • Al menos 5 años de experiencia en gestión/ejecución de proyectos de Transmisión y Control de Calidad en proyectos de Alta Tensión.
  • Experiencia mínima de 7 años en empresas del rubro energía.
