What You Can Expect

As a Credit Advisor – Know Your Customer (KYC) in Houston, you will report to VP Credit and perform know your customer analysis on large and small companies.

 

  • Analyze and formalize know your customer (KYC) analysis for new and existing entities
  • Provide input and recommendations on best practices for entity clearance resources, such as LexisNexus, World Check, etc.
  • Work with Corporate social responsibility (CSR)  team to complete full clearance of entities
  • Assist where possible in automating KYC process utilizing existing credit platform
  • Ability to have constructive and conscientious conversations with internal and external clients adhering to the ENGIE Values
  • Perform ad hoc KYC requests as needed by the VP of Credit
  • Offer insight for process improvements
  • Work with IT to lead KYC integration project
  • Ability to maintain abreast of current industry news and events
  • Ability to research current credit events in the marketplace
  • Ability to work well with others, inside and outside of ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (NA)
  • Act as a team member with all employees of ENGIE NA staff
  • Comply with all ENGIE NA policies and procedures
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in which you completed courses in related field
  • A minimum 7 years’ experience in KYC required, with at least 2 years in Management 
  • Knowledge of Excel software
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

Compensation

Salary Range: $86,100 – $132,020 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Context:

The FinOps Biomass team is attached directly to both the BP LNG & Global Biomass & the EC (Expertise Center) FinOps. Its mission is to support our clients by providing operational excellence in deal life cycle and financial information relevant for decision.

 

Role:

We are currently looking for a VIE and we offer the opportunity to work in the center of Brussels (Capital of Europe) within a dynamic and enthusiastic team .

The Financial Controller carries out the processes linked to the financial results of the Global Biomass activity, covering Biomass & Freight (for the result and balance sheet accounting indicators), excluding those carried out by the Back-Office or by the Accis shared service center (GBS).

Tasks:

  • Analyze the results to date as part of the Group performance review process (including comparison to budget/previous month/previous year)
  • Monitor the daily evolution of the trading perimeter, and solve issues identified in due-time
  • Support our clients in the development of new activities (e.g. new commodities / new trading floors / new deal types) and coordination with our stakeholders (IT/GBS/BO/Risk/FO) to ensure a correct financial set-up
  • Coordinate & collaborate with Accis & Group to guarantee that reported P&L is correctly captured in the accounting systems (SAP / SMART / CONSO)
  • Identify/propose & implement solutions (e.g. new reporting/new controls/…) in order to make our processes more efficient

Hard skills:

  • Good knowledge of the MS tools (Excel, PPT,…) + Powerbi
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting system (SAP) is a plus

ENGIE Global Energy Management and Sales (GEMS) is responsible for managing the portfolio of gas, electricity, congestion revenues rights and environmental products for ENGIE, across geographies. More recently, GEMS has extended his scope to also manage all the market risks (energy, congestion, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), ancillaries) generated by the Renewable and Battery Storage Assets owned by ENGIE North America, which includes wind farms, solar farms, and storage units. The Power Portfolio Management team is precisely the group in charge of these activities.

 

The Battery Storage Portfolio Management group is the commercial operations management team responsible for energy storage optimization, analytics, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) modeling & financial management of the energy storage portfolio within the Engie Global Energy Management & Supply group. We are looking for an optimization engineer with a software development background to join our Energy Storage team.

 

As applications of energy storage resources continue to proliferate and evolve, our formulation of storage economics & objectives needs continual refinement to reflect this evolution. As the Senior Optimization & Analytics Advisor, you will report to Head of Battery Storage Modelling and you will formulate these new objectives, develop optimization methods, and collaborate with the team to maximize BESS revenue streams. You will also take the lead in the formulation of the priorities for the software development team dedicated to the Battery Portfolio Management group. 

 

You will be responsible for design, development & implementation of automated software solutions for monetizing energy storage & other market participation models by leveraging their knowledge and experience in mathematical programming, predictive analytics, power systems engineering along with the capability to software engineer the solution to leverage software platform technologies including cloud computing, distributed computing, numerical solver methods, and data storage infrastructures.

 

You will be interacting with asset managers, traders, facility operators, and risk managers to develop financial and operational algorithms/models that support trading & asset optimization decisions. You will work closely with GEMS IT development team to leverage your experience in data science and our expertise in electricity market fundamentals to optimize trade support products, perform performance benchmarking and stress testing of designed products, and ensure compliance of products to market rules and transactional requirements.

 

  • Develop algorithmic product solutions for physical & virtual assets Implement production grade mathematical code with performance benchmarking and unit testing to verify and validate outcomes
  • Determine key performance indicators for algorithmic products and contributes to monitoring and iterative product improvement
  • Implement optimization models for short-term operation and long-term valuation of battery storage resources
  • Work closely with IT development team to determine the data storage/access design best fit battery trade/operation
  • Prepare functional specification document to IT development team to industrialize proof of concept programs by Battery Storage Portfolio Management group
  • Provide constructive insights as product owner during the technical solution selection of the GEMS battery software platform
  • Prepare code documentation, technical reports, quantitative analyses, and presentation material for internal and external use
  • Implement forecasting and optimization models for operation and valuation of renewable resources and battery storage

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of general business experience

  • Experience in electricity market fundamentals including energy and ancillary service pricing based on fundamental market design a plus

Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

The Comp & Ben Specialist works within the HR department of the Global Energy Management & Sales business unit.

De energiemarkt is volop in beweging. ENGIE wil versneld overschakelen op duurzame energie en ontwikkelt energieproducten die duurzaam, flexibel en transparant zijn. Jouw uitdaging ligt in het overzien van marktdata en de ontwikkelingen in de energiesector die daar impact op hebben. Vraag en aanbod van energie moeten in balans zijn. Samen met jouw collega’s zorg je ervoor dat alles rondom de toewijzing (allocatie) en afrekening (settlement en reconciliatie) van verbruik op de best mogelijke manier geregeld is. Jij gaat binnen EMS deel uit maken van het team Marktdata. Dit team bestaat uit vier andere collega’s die op een open en transparante wijze EMS en ENGIE verder willen brengen. Engie plays a major role in the UK’s green power transition both as a developer of green power projects and de risking new build third party asset. The UK governments ambitious targets to decarbonise the electricity system by the end of the decade have reinforced the importance of GEMS UK’s green power business.

The Valuation & Analysis team (V&A) is looking for a VIE in London whose mission is to support the development of GEMS UK Renewables trading desk. The successful applicant will work on a wide range of projects centred primarily around short term power markets and the delivery of over 1GW of renewable energy. By working with Trading, V&A and IS the applicant will have the opportunity to develop new and improve existing machine learning models and develop and improve renewables production forecasts.

 

Role:

 

  • Production of price and volume forecast models for power markets.
  • Backtest and calibration of trading strategies for renewable and battery assets in the GB power market.
