Voor onze warmtekrachtkoppeling centrales, voornamelijk gelegen in de Antwerpse haven, zijn wij op zoek naar een Operations Manager. Hierbij ben je een cruciale schakel in het beheer en de exploitatie van onze installaties. Je rapporteert aan de Entiteitsmanager Exploitatie en bent verantwoordelijk voor een breed scala aan taken.

 

 

JOUW VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN als Operations Manager

 Veiligheid en kwaliteit:

  • Bewaak het exploitatieproces met een proactieve veiligheids- en kwaliteitsattitude
  • Zorg voor het ter beschikking stellen van gevalideerde operationele data
  • Initieer verbeteringsinitiatieven

Leidinggeven aan een team:

  • Je geeft leiding aan een team van exploitatiemedewerkers
  • Motiveer, ontwikkel en bevorder de samenwerking binnen je team

Operationele organisatie en exploitatie:

  • Zorg voor een kwalitatieve operationele organisatie van onze installaties, inclusief het chemisch proces
  • Werk samen met Genco en de warmtekrachtkoppelingspartner om de optimale economische beschikbaarheid en betrouwbaarheid van de productiemiddelen te waarborgen

Contractbeheer en financiële optimalisatie:

  • Ken de inhoud van de warmtekrachtkoppelscontracten en zorg voor de juiste uitvoering en toepassing ervan
  • Houd toezicht op veiligheidsverplichtingen, milieuverplichtingen, vergunningen en bestaande contracten
  • Draag actief bij aan het optimaliseren van de P&L van de sites onder jouw beheer

Samenwerking:

  • Overleg met warmtekrachtkoppelspartners over technische en exploitatie gerelateerde zaken
  • Ondersteun collega’s op andere sites
  • Bespreek en volg onderhoudswerkzaamheden op met de onderhoudsafdeling

Calamiteiten en personeelsbeheer:

  • Neem de nodige maatregelen bij calamiteiten en ongevallen
  • Beheer de competenties en kennis van je medewerkers via instructies, opleiding en coaching

Missão

 

A Termoflorestal, procura para as suas equipes da central termoelétrica a biomassa sita em Juncal, Porto de Mós, técnicos eletromecânicos ou com formação /treino similar para chefiar o processo de condução térmica e elétrica e manutenção de 1º escalão da instalação

 

O que pode esperar

 

  • Garantir que os equipamentos e máquinas de vapor sob a sua responsabilidade são mantidos em boas condições de funcionamento;
  • Executar, sob tutela do chefe de turno, as manobras de campo e em modo remoto  dos sistemas eletromecânicos instalados com vista ao paralelo com a rede da EREDES, controlo do sistema de alimentação de biomassa para a combustão e o controlo da agua de alimentação do sistema de vapor;
  • Garantir que são executadas e controladas as operações de lubrificação de 1º escalão de manutenção;
  • Controlar e registar a entradas e saídas de biomassa do sistema de alimentação de biomassa á central quando necessário;
  • Manter contacto apertado com o superior hierárquico, a fim permitir um meio constante da permuta de informação da central;
  • Cumprir as normas de Qualidade, Ambiente, Energia e Segurança do Grupo Engie e do cliente.

 

Quem procuramos

 

  • Curso de técnico eletromecânico ou eletrotécnico (preferencial)

What You Can Expect

As our Construction Manager (CM) II, you will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating the construction and commissioning of distributed-scale solar and energy storage projects. In this role, you will manage construction and commissioning work being performed by subcontractors, including oversight of Safety, and will work with our internal Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Asset Management, and Finance Departments, as well as our 3rd Party Owner’s Engineer(s) and other consultants to oversee the execution of the project. Additionally, you would be expected to have a proven background in managing large, complex construction projects, demonstrating your ability to handle multifaceted challenges and deliver successful outcomes. This role can be based in Chicago, IL (preferred), Houston, or remote in cities like Denver, NY, and Oakland, CA, reporting to the Manager of Project Delivery.

 

 

  • Actively participate in the Health, Safety, and Environment program for project construction
  • Oversee projects from development through construction to Project Closeout and Handover to O&M/Asset Management, conducting regular site visits
  • Manage multiple construction projects concurrently
  • Track contractual requirements and deliverables for all project contracts, including off-take agreements, interconnection agreements, EPC agreements, financing agreements, and road use agreements
  • Prepare construction safety and progress measurement KPIs using the project plan and baseline schedule, and manage material delivery and inventory at project site

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant construction management experience, constructing solar or power construction projects
  • You are proficient in managing construction activities, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and sequencing
  • You are experienced with hands-on use of tools and equipment
  • You possess leadership and problem-solving skills
  • You have a collaborative approach to work, with a strong attention to detail and documentation, including daily logs, KPI tracking, periodic reporting, and other standard construction management activities

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office presence. For candidates in remote cities, occasional travel to our office locations in Chicago, IL or Houston, TX is required, approximately once a quarter during off weeks
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 75% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, use of company vehicle
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 – $123,200 USD annually

  • Plan training requirement for staff needs for skills improvement
  • Prepare and responsible for annual budget submission, audit report, assessment report for contractors' performance
  • Prepare and certify contractors' payment

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Building/Facilities Management or relevant disciplines from a recognized university
  • At least 7 years of related working experience
  • Proven experience in facility management in a large facility
  • Able to work Independently and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Pro-active, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure

Our Steamfitter will be working at the University of Iowa Campus in Iowa City, and the Satellite campus in Oakdale.  This employee will be performing preventative maintenance and repair services on Utility Distribution piping systems for steam, domestic water, hot water for heating and chilled water for cooling.    Our responsibilities on campus include both direct-buried and tunneled systems as well as sanitary and storm sewer systems.

 

ENGIE at the University of Iowa employs over 100 energy professionals in the trades, technical specialties, engineering, management, and support to operate the utility production and distribution systems, driving toward greater use of renewable and sustainable fuels.

 

A typical day consists of performing preventive maintenance and repairs on utility Distribution Piping Systems, and servicing equipment used by the department to perform services such as Diesel powered pumps, compressors, backflow equipment.  In this role you will Install operate, troubleshoot, and repair High-pressure Systems (90 psig or greater) You will service steam pressure reducing stations, expansion joints Steam meters, steam traps, steam valves.  Inspect and service direct buried pre-insulated, large diameter buried domestic and chilled water mains, valves, and fire hydrants, hot water lines, valves, and expansion joints, compressed air lines, air regulators, and valves storm and sanitary sewers, utility access holes. Install piping systems and equipment (i.e. pumps, valves). Repairing or fabricating by Welding  using arc, gas, Heli arc, and spot-welding techniques.  You will be Interpreting and maintaining diagrams, schematics, system logs, drawings, and documentation on utility systems You Assists in arranging building shutdowns of all mechanical distribution utilities for Service work ensuring that customers and stakeholders are notified and that work is completed with employee and customer safety as an absolute priority. You determine Jobsite work sequences and safety procedures required, procures materials, coordinates outages, complete work, and place systems back into service.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Minimum of a High school diploma or GED or equivalent

  • Four years’ experience in one or more aspects of the trade, pipefitting, welding, plumbing, or similar; or a combination of work and education such as an apprenticeship, trade school or military training.
  • Knowledge of  work processes used when working with steam at pressures greater than 90 psig.
  • knowledge of utility systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of tools and methods necessary to troubleshoot and maintain utility piping systems
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in the steam and piping trades
  • Knowledge of trade occupational hazards and safety precautions while working in confined spaces, aerial or elevated locations, extreme temperatures, excavations, and other environmental caused conditions
  • Knowledge of building and piping codes, utility standards, and safety programs as governed by rules, regulations and guidelines of local, state, and national safety codes, equipment manufacturers, and others
  • Experience reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, control system drawings, and repair manuals
  • Experience with welding techniques and equipment
  • Experience maintaining records and system documentation
  • Ability to perform basic measurements, and  math computations
  • Ability to analyze system problems, recommend, and implement system changes
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with other department personnel, vendors and suppliers, students, staff, and the public

 

 

Additional Details

  • A minimum of a state issued driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license in the future. This Employee will be operating company owned vehicles

Compensation

Salary Range:  $27.45 – $39.42 USD hourly

What You Can Expect

ENGIE North America is seeking a High Voltage Electrician to join our Team at the University of Iowa Campus. This will be a local position with no travel. You will be a part of a team that is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of all utility plants and utility distribution networks on the University of Iowa Main and Oakdale campuses. You must have a current Iowa Journeyman Electrician license Class A or B. . The most critical aspect of this job is safety.  Yours, your teams, and our customers on campus. We are looking for an electrician that can work safely and efficiently, and takes pride in getting the job done right the first time.

 

Daily you will be performing preventative maintenance and repair work on campus, You will ensure all work is performed consistently with Engie’s culture of physical safety, process safety, and psychological safety for all staff, contractors, service providers, and stakeholders.  You will be determining jobsite work sequences and the safety procedures required for each task. You will work with various team members to procure materials, coordinates outages, and complete work by places systems back into service.  You will be performing and documenting pre-job hazard assessments and provide pre-job briefs as needed. Daily you will be completing Installs,  troubleshooting, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing electric utility substation and distribution systems including but not limited to medium voltage circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, cabling systems, and production plant electrical motors, starters, and controls up through 15kV.  You will be Interpreting and maintaining wiring diagrams, schematics, updating system logs, drawings, and documentation on utility systems.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Required to have a current Class A or B Electrician’s license valid in the State of Iowa
  • A minimum of a High school diploma or GED, and completion of a formal Apprenticeship
  • Four (4) years of experience in the trade, inclusive of apprenticeship
  • Two (2) years must be working with high voltage (over 600 volts through 15kV) in an electric utility, power plant, or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of equipment and methods used in general industrial facility or utility maintenance work
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices associated with utility or industrial operations, including those for working around high voltage equipment and the ability to do so with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of electric utility systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of tools and methods necessary to troubleshoot and maintain electric utility equipment
  • Knowledge of the trade occupational hazards and safety precautions while working in confined spaces, aerial or elevated locations, extreme temperatures, excavations, and other environmental-caused conditions
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, utility standards, and safety programs as governed by rules, regulations, and guidelines of local, state, and national electrical and safety codes, equipment manufacturers, and others
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively and complete repairs with a high degree of accuracy.

Missão

 

A pessoa selecionada será responsável por realizar a manutenção, instalação e reparação de equipamentos e sistemas que envolvem componentes tanto elétricos como mecânicos. Isso inclui máquinas industriais, motores elétricos, sistemas de automação (valências em programação), dispositivos de controle, instalações elétricas, entre outros.

 

Este profissional terá um papel crucial em diversos setores da instalação. As suas atividades englobam desde a leitura de diagramas e esquemas elétricos até a utilização de ferramentas e instrumentos de medição para diagnosticar e corrigir falhas em equipamentos.

 

Além disso, o técnico eletromecânico também pode estar envolvido na montagem de máquinas, na configuração de sistemas de automação, na realização de testes de funcionamento e na execução de procedimentos de segurança. Em muitos casos, é necessário ter um entendimento sólido tanto da parte elétrica quanto da mecânica dos equipamentos.

 

O que pode esperar

 

  • Proceder à montagem e colocação em condições de funcionamento dos subconjuntos e conjuntos mecânicos, elétricos, eletromecânicos e de automação (pneumáticos e hidráulicos), a partir dos desenhos, esquemas e especificações técnicas específicas de cada equipamento industrial;
  • Diagnosticar as avarias dos elementos nos sistemas mecânicos, elétricos, eletromecânicos e de automação, aplicando os procedimentos estabelecidos, para comprovação do estado de funcionamento dos equipamentos e do alcance dos defeitos;
  • Restituir as condições funcionais nos sistemas mecânicos, elétricos, eletromecânicos e de automação, recorrendo à reparação e/ou substituição de peças e elementos dos referidos sistemas, estabelecendo o processo de desmontagem / montagem requerido, com recurso aos manuais de instruções e esquemas específicos dos equipamentos;
  • Realizar a montagem, instalação e colocação em marcha dos equipamentos, com recurso aos desenhos e especificações técnicas dos conjuntos fabricados e cumprimento das normas de segurança relacionadas com os riscos laborais e meio – ambientais;
  • Realizar a conservação e manutenção preventiva dos equipamentos, a partir da documentação técnica e manuais de manutenção, com registo e preenchimento das fichas de intervenção específicas
  • Cumprir as normas e os procedimentos internos de segurança, higiene, saúde e de proteção do ambiente no exercício da sua atividade profissional.
