What You Can Expect

As our High Voltage Electrician in Washington, DC at Georgetown University, you will be responsible for the safe, legal, reliable and cost-efficient operation and maintenance of the High Voltage Electrical System supplying power to all University (including Medical Center), and hospital buildings. Responsible for the electrical power from PEPCO’s six incoming connections at 13,800 volts to the main low voltage switchboard in each building including electrical metering and the quality of the power. And will report to the High Voltage Supervisor.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a High School Diploma or GED
  • You possess a DC Journeyman Electrician’s License
  • You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a journeyman electrician
  • You are confident in the usage of OHMS Law
  • You have worked in an environment where you use the DC Electrical Code, National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and the Electrical Equipment Maintenance Code
  • You have OSHA 10 Certification    
  • You can review single-line drawings to operate the high voltage system in support of PEPCO, contractors, and our preventive maintenance program
  • You are comfortable supporting contractors in the preventive maintenance of all system components, circuit breakers, cable, transformers, relays, meters, and switchboards
  • You know how to switch building power and 13 KV feeder distribution circuits in support of planned repairs and upgrading of equipment, and maintain station batteries
  • Monitor power usage, install, test, repair, and read electrical meters and other recording devices
  • You have experience Operating, maintaining, chiller switchgear, transformers, switches in the Heating/Cooling Plant and an entire campus
  • You are comfortable responding to unplanned emergency outages 24/7 affecting hospital, campus, and medical facility buildings on the High Voltage system
  • You can assist other departments needing our expertise

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires daily attendance at a worksite
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record will drive company vehicle
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing

Compensation

Hourly: $36.80 - $38.00 USD hourly. Your position is part of a bargaining unit represented by UNION-1199-SEIU. Many of the terms and conditions of your employment, including but not limited to work scheduling, wages, vacation, sick leave, and other benefits, will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement (the “CBA”) between the Company and the union.  

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

Our Electrician I based at the beautiful University of Iowa Campus will be a licensed Journeyman electrician servicing, and installing utility substation, distribution and production plant electrical equipment operating at less than 600 volts. 

 

Our responsibilities on campus include the operation, maintenance and expansion of the utility plants and distribution network on both the main and satellite campuses. We are in the early years of a 50 year Operations and Maintenance agreement on campus.

 

Every day with safety as your highest priority you will be operating, inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing electric utility systems; including low voltage power distribution systems, switchgear, protection and control systems, lighting, ventilation and pumping systems, battery systems, instrumentation, motor starters and controls and conduit, cable and wiring systems operating at less than 600 volts. This work will take place across the University of Iowa Main Campus and the Coralville satellite. 

 

  • You will determine jobsite work sequences and safety procedures required, procure materials for the installation or repair, coordinate outages, complete the work and place systems back into service.
  • You will interpret and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics,  and update system logs, drawings and documentation on utility systems. You will work around and with medium voltage (600 volts to 15kV) utility systems under the direction of High Voltage Electricians. 

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You must have a minimum education of a High School diploma or GED or it’s equivalent
  • This role requires a state of Iowa Class A or B Journeyman Electrician license
  • You will have experience with electric utility systems and equipment

  • You have experience with the tools and methods necessary to troubleshoot and maintain electrical utility equipment. 
  • You have experience in applying the principles, methods, and techniques used in the electrical trade
  • You have experience applying precautions and proper equipment to protect yourself and others from trade related occupational hazards while working in confined spaces, aerial or elevated locations, extreme temperatures, excavations, and other environmentally caused conditions
  • You have experience applying electrical codes, utility standards, and safety programs as governed by rules, regulations and guidelines of local, state, and national electrical and safety codes, equipment manufacturers and others
  • You are able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, control system drawings and repair manuals 
  • You are able to perform basic math computations as needed in the trade 
  • You have the ability to maintain records and system documentation
  • You have the ability to analyze system problems, recommend and implement system changes

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Condate Biogas in South Molton, Devon. This role involves working alongside the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager to ensure plant uptime and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance of the anaerobic digestion facility, including installing and maintaining electrical components such as generators, inverters, and control systems.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components, including generators, inverters, and control systems.
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance of the plant, including working on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, pipework, and electrical equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues and system failures.
  • Conducting routine inspections to identify and rectify potential issues.
  • Stocktaking of electrical spares and equipment, ensuring all items are recorded and accounted for on the company systems.

Knowledge and Skills/Experience:

What You Can Expect

As the Cost Controls Advisor, you will work in the Business Operations Department within the Grid Scale Renewables organization. You will collaborate across departments to provide control functions for assigned projects throughout their entire life cycle. In this role, you will oversee training, processes, procedures, team utilization, and quality analysis of all budgeting and cost control functions. Cost functions include maintaining budgets and controlling expenditures through the preparation of budgets, cash and accrual forecasting, variance reporting, performance matrices, and cost categorization per pre-identified Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

 

Every day in this role you will:

  • Coordinate and support limited notice to proceed (LNTP) contracts, including detailed schedule of values (SOV) and planned value (PV) distribution activities per WBS, working across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Support project budget analysis for development, delivery, and operational project managers and executive leaders through pipeline review meetings
  • Prepare and publish monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) detailing month-over-month variances in estimate at complete (EAC), total investment cost (TIC), and actual vs. investment note baseline costs
  • Provide project portfolio summaries of monthly cash flow and accrual forecasts, as well as earned value management (EVM) calculations
  • Advocate for cost control best practices across departments, support Cost Analysts in special tasks, proactively investigate issues, and implement creative solutions to support the team, ensuring quality control on weekly/monthly reports supplied by fellow Cost Control Analysts

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Project or Construction Management, or related field of study

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project cost controls
  • Project management or renewable energy development experience, with a desire to advance renewable energy solutions across North America
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts and business impacts to diverse audiences, including executives and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and foster a team-oriented environment, acting as a mentor and trainer in project cost principles and methodologies, while working proactively and independently on strategic objectives with minimal oversight
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for creating customized cost estimating and analysis tools, and experience with Power BI for maintaining KPI cost dashboards
  • Direct experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, COUPA) for procurement, payment, and accounting, and knowledge of scheduling software for EVM analysis (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer to play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity measures. Based at the Dinorwig Power Station in the heart of Snowdonia, you will work closely with our engineering, production, and business departments to ensure the power stations are always ready. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

 

*You must be eligible to work in the UK and have been a resident in the UK for the last 5 years. This role will be subject to National Security Vetting.*

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage a cybersecurity system based on ISO27001 standards.
  • Monitor cybersecurity within projects, ensuring necessary actions and measures are followed.
  • Lead the monitoring and management of Information Security risks.
  • Collaborate with ENGIE Information Security Teams to develop strategies for securing industrial assets in line with internal policies and external regulations, including NIS regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Internationally recognized certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
  • Prior experience in managing industrial cybersecurity.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex IT security solutions.

About the Role

 

As an HRIS and Payroll Advisor at ENGIE UK, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and payroll processes. This position ensures the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data while providing analytical support to the HR and management. You will act as a liaison between the HR, finance, and IT departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role is a hyrdrid role working a minimum of 2 days a week in the office from our pumped storage plants at Dinorwig.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

HRIS

  • Assist in maintaining HR data within HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and integrity.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Generate and analyse HR metrics and reports to aid decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Provide user support for selected business areas, resolve queries where possible, and escalate complex issues to the Global HR teams.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation, ongoing maintenance, and development of ENGIE UK’s HR systems.

Payroll

  • Oversee and process various payrolls of the company with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation, safeguarding the confidentiality and security of employee information.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Identify areas for improvement in payroll processes, potential system enhancements, and opportunities for automation to streamline operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll-related tax filings and reports.

 

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Minimum three years of experience working in a payroll processing role, demonstrating a solid understanding of payroll compliance.
  • Proficient in using payroll and HR databases.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in payroll calculations and compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-payroll staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies and implement process improvements.
  • Proficient use of Office 365 suite: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the use of SharePoint.
  • Adequate understanding of PowerBI.
  • Highly skilled in using and configuring HR and associated systems.
  • Good understanding of HR processes and environment.
  • Strong commitment to data integrity and governance/controls.
  • Capable of managing conflicting and demanding priorities with excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree or HND in an IT or HR discipline would be an advantage.

Your mission


As Senior Nuclear Engineer in our Radioactive Waste Management department, you will contribute to our mission every day by playing a crucial role in:
•    Conducting and coordinating Engineering Studies in the field of Radioactive Waste Management and Decommissioning.
•    Covering both the radioactive waste resulting from operations and from dismantling.

•    Knowledge of nuclear decommissioning processes in general, experience with the decommissioning of a nuclear power plant is an asset.

What You Can Expect
As a SCADA Engineer Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting operations by implementing, maintaining, and overseeing the remote operations control center (ROCC) for utility-scale renewable sites, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across the ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, and WECC markets. This position will be based out of the Houston, TX office and will be supporting assets in both US and Canada.

 

In this role your key responsibilities everyday will be:

  • Design, install, optimize, support, and troubleshoots all aspects of the overall system, insuring solid reliability
  • Ensure that all telemetry and controls are available and accurate
  • Configure and maintain alarm management of SCADA system alarms for energy controllers, customers and SCADA staff
  • Prepare performance monitoring tools and programming applications
  • Create test procedures to verify hardware and software designs


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Technical Associate degree in Automation and Controls Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, Computer Programming Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and utility experience
  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience in designing and/or commissioning renewable energy projects and producing standards, specifications, and documentation
  • Experience in programming Wonderware System Platform (Galaxy Repository, Object oriented programming and historian)
  • Knowledge in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, ABB, Schneider Electric)
  • Recognizes SCADA development lifecycle
  • Understanding of various communication protocols including: MODBUS, DNP3, ICCP, OPC.
  • Experience with Grafana, influxDB and SQL
  • Understanding of NERC CIP security principals and importance of change management and documentation
  • An comprehension of electrical, communication designs, drawings, bills of materials and test data

Compensation
Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually
