Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and action plans that align with ENGIE Group's purpose and goals.
- Support the adoption and implementation of the Group's CSR/Sustainability objectives at the country level, ensuring timely reporting.
- Help position ENGIE's sustainability efforts among key external stakeholders to promote the company's purpose.
- Assist in setting up and coordinating governance structures to integrate and report on sustainability requirements within ENGIE’s country operations and stakeholder interactions.
- Provide support throughout the project lifecycle, from development to operations and decommissioning, ensuring ESG (HSE, community, and biodiversity) considerations are included.
- Assist in managing relationships with contractors to effectively handle project risks and impacts related to ESG.
- Ensure compliance with local ESG regulations and ENGIE group's European directive conformance
- Support quarterly reporting through internal sustainability/CSR channels and facilitate the smooth operation of the country sustainability (environmental/social) committee.
- Promote a sustainability culture within the country by facilitating trainings, information sharing, and awareness initiatives.
- Participate in yearly sustainability reporting procedures, aligning with international sustainability frameworks.
- Assist in periodic reporting, tracking, managing, and analyzing ESG-related data, recommending and monitoring Group-level ESG activities and projects.
- Support the update and tracking of the decarbonization strategy with the Business Units, recommending possible solutions.
- Stay updated on ESG regulations, trends, market developments, and technology to inform the company's sustainability strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote various environmental sustainability initiatives within the company and across Business Units.
Requirements
- Master/Degree in Environmental Science/Sustainability/Business Administration or equivalent
- 1-3 years working experience
- Prior experience in ESG field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability in solving problems promptly
- Strong decision-making skills and capability to guide the organization toward strategic objectives
- Effective communication with all levels of the organization and clear communication of organizational goals
- Ability to lead and manage change initiatives within the organization
- Upholding high ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity within the organization
