MISION

La persona que se incorpore se encargará de dirigir y organizar los equipos de Ingeniería y Seguridad y Salud en su función de soporte transversal a los diferentes departamentos de la RES GBU Spain (Desarrollo de Negocio, Execution, O&M)  a lo largo de todo el ciclo de vida del proyecto.

 

FUNCIONES:

 

ENGINEERING

  • Estructurar los proyectos renovables desde el punto de vista técnico,  económico y organizacional, de cara a su presentación ante comités de inversión y dar soporte a BD en llevar los mismos a situación de Ready to Build.
  • Asesorar técnicamente a Desarrollo de Negocio, Execution y O&M en los diferentes procesos en que se involucren a lo largo del ciclo de vida del proyecto.
  • Actuar de interlocutor ante la Industrial Platfrom en nombre de Desarrollo y Execution.
  • Realizar los estudios técnicos necesarios para la obtención de los permisos y licencias demandadas por los proyectos en su fase de desarrollo
  • Desarrollar los diseños y soluciones técnicas que permitan la viabilidad técnico - económica de los proyectos .
  • Desarrollar las especificaciones técnicas y pliegos necesarios para los procesos de licitación y adjudicación de Procurement
  • Actuar como asesor técnico de Execution frente a ingenierías externas.
  • Dirigir los equipos de Ingeniería, Planificación e Infraestructuras eléctricas para la correcta transición de los proyectos a situación de “Ready to Build” en plazo, coste, calidad y seguridad.

 

H&S

  • Asesorar en materia de H&S a Desarrollo de Negocio, Execution y O&M en los diferentes procesos en que se involucren a lo largo del ciclo de vida del proyecto.
  • Velar por el cumplimiento de las políticas de H&S de Engie en todos los activos tanto en fase deconstrucción como en fase de explotación
  • Detectar las necesidades formativas en el ámbito de H&S y diseñar los planes correspondientes para que esta necesidades sean cubiertas.
  • Realizar seguimiento de la accidentabilidad y llevar a cabo las investigaciones correspondientes al objeto de definir causas y acciones correctoras.
  • Realizar visitas de monitoreo a activos de forma sistemática para asegurar el cimplimeinto de nuestros estándares de H&S.

 

GENERAL

  • Como miembro del COMEX de Renovables Spain, proponer y colaborar activamente en la definición de objetivos y toma de decisiones de la GBU así como informar del progreso y estado de los mismos.
  • Colaborar con el resto de las direcciones de la GBU y las de T&G (tanto a nivel España como a nivel Grupo) para facilitar la consecución de los objetivos.
  • Mantener comunicación activa con los diferente Stakeholders.
  • Aprobar los contratos con clientes y proveedores.
  • Asegurar la implementación y cumplimiento de las Políticas de Seguridad e higiene, Diversidad, Ciberseguridad y Ética y Cumplimiento, así como de los procedimientos y procesos definidos en la organización.
  • Estas funciones podrán ser realizadas en su totalidad, o parcialmente, por los ocupantes de este puesto, sin perjuicio de cualquier otra que se le pudiese encomendar de acuerdo con su cualificación, formación y experiencia.

 

REQUISITOS MINIMOS

  • Grado en Ingeniería Industrial - Ingeniería de Minas- Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos
  • Master universitario
  • 10 años de experiencia en dirección de equipos multidisciplinares y dirección de grandes proyectos EPC
  • Experiencia relevante en proyectos internacionales
  • Nivel avanzado de inglés: C1-C2
  • Visión estratégica

What You Can Expect

As the Senior Electrical Engineer you will be supporting assets in across the US for Solar, Wind, and BESS. You will be primarily part of the AMPS (Augmented Maintenance and Project Support) team that will be responsible for supporting the utility scale operations group by acting as a technical leader, ensuring the safe operation of the facilities, and ensuring the assets are maximizing production. This role will sit in Houston, TX and require travel to sites for on call support.

 

You possess an extensive working knowledge and hands-on experience with solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology, including the ability to troubleshoot and guide technicians remotely. You understand the operation of substations, including the operations of high and medium voltage equipment. You will assist site managers and operations engineers by ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, regulations, licenses, and plans. Your engineering expertise is crucial in preparing and reviewing reports, maintenance, and monitoring plans, and analyzing data to ensure environmental goals and objectives are adequately addressed. You provide electrical, high-voltage, collection system, and substation support to operating renewable projects. Additionally, you assist site managers and construction engineers by ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, regulations, licenses, and plans. You lead the development and continuous improvement of commissioning, maintenance, and standard operating procedures. You review maintenance records and recommend corrective actions to ensure reliability and compliance with applicable NERC standards. You develop structured feedback sessions for all lessons learned with the project team, including misoperations, root cause analysis (Six-sigma, DMAIC, fish-bone), and safety-related events. Your knowledge of engineering standards, including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI, is extensive. You are able to articulate, communicate, mentor, and provide guidance on addressing underperforming assets and develop plans to prioritize their return to service.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and utility experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience working within PV, BESS and/or substation

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 45% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record for rental cars through ENGIE

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

The Business Operations, Senior Analyst will work in support of ENA’s Grid Scale Renewables Project Development, Project Delivery, and Commercial Strategy cross functional teams, in support of managers, directors and vice presidents within ENA’s Grid Scale Renewables’ Project Development, Project Delivery and Commercial Strategy teams.

 

Every day in this role your work will focus on establishing and maintaining various budget control processes, accounting forensic and issues resolution, SAP and COUPA project management controls, and routine CapEx budget reviews and reporting. The Business Operations, Senior Analyst will work independently with various corporate functional support groups (e.g., Accounting, AP, IT, FP&A and Procurement) to implement ongoing business operation processes and resolve identified issues.

 

  • Assist with the formation, establishment, and upkeep of SAP WBS projects/templates and the flow of information from SAP to grid scale renewables development and construction managers to perform their job responsibilities
  • Analyze, assess, and report on Project Development/Construction CapEx and Operations/Maintenance OpEx spend data to ensure quality and accuracy. Independently execute forensic accounting tasks to identify outliers and work directly with corporate Accounting/AP and Procurement to rectify errors. Routinely produce, assess, and distribute monthly project status reports. Update, modify, and review budgets with managers, addressing outliers as supplemental budgets are approved and contingencies are released. Highlight approaching budget constraints and risks to ensure proactive management
  • Assist development, construction, and project managers with the establishment of projects and full life cycle budgets in SAP
  • Preparation of annual cash spend plans and routine cash forecasting exercises
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for improving existing processes. Proactively engage and work with various corporate functions to roll-out new or updated business processes and tools
  • Develop and maintain documentation and process flows to define various business processes, and collaborate with Project Controllers on budget management, scheduling, and quality control initiatives to enhance these processes
  • As required, lead training and orientation efforts surrounding the use of legacy business systems/tools and the roll-out of new enterprise systems. Also responsible for coordinating these efforts with applicable corporate functional groups
  • Work with development managers, Accounting and Procurements to transition historic costs and established purchases to full life cycle project budgets and templates. In relationship to this activity, ensure the accounting and purchasing history of all Safe Harbor tax credit equipment are accurately assigned to applicable projects
  • Facilitate and maintain comprehensive documentation and process flows that delineate the operational procedures of our business units
  • Provide support to Project Controllers by contributing to various initiatives aimed at budgeting, scheduling, and quality control to enhance business process

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Systems, Economics, Engineering, Accounting/Finance or in a closely related field of study in which you have learned project management, financial reporting, auditing, management and analyzing of data, optimization of data and business processes, identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role
  • Detail-oriented, proactive to pursue and investigate the underlying details surrounding information being reported in order to construct a comprehensive understanding of project related risks/issues

What You Can Expect

As the Electrical Engineering Commissioning Advisor, you have a pivotal role in leading and supporting commissioning of ultilty-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects.  Your expertise will guide the commissioning process, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedules and budgets.

 

Every day in this role you will:

  • Lead and support commissioning activities, collaborating closely with EPC contractors on-site
  • Manage all facets of plant commissioning, including equipment inspection, system checkout, and daily activity oversight
  • Review and communicate start-up schedules with the engineering team, project manager, and senior management
  • Provide technical support to ensure project completion within regulatory standards and budget constraints

  • Collaborate with project managers to create and finalize punch lists before system/equipment commissioning
  • Ensure pre-commissioning and commissioning provisions are included in engineering drawings and specifications

What You’ll Bring

You will develop structured feedback sessions for all lessons learned with the project team, including misoperations, root cause analysis (Six Sigma, DMAIC, fish-bone), and safety-related events. You should have working knowledge in one of the following areas of electrical engineering: protection and control (P&C), including all aspects of testing and troubleshooting transformer, line, bus, and feeder relaying schemes, or maintenance and diagnostic testing of high voltage apparatus, including power transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear. Understanding the SEL suite of products, including RTAC, and having basic knowledge of SCADA networks and protocols such as MODBUS, DNP3, and any proprietary SCADA protocols, is necessary. Compensation

Salary Range:  $32.69 - $48.76 USD hourly

What You Can Expect

As an Augmented Maintenance Project Support (AMPS) Technician, your role involves providing onsite support services in the southern region of Texas and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for project commissioning, inspection, troubleshooting, analysis, maintenance, repair, and upgrades of operational assets. These assets include wind turbines, solar panels, BESS storage technology, and high or medium voltage substations. Your focus will be on optimizing generation availability, improving operational reliability, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Reporting to the Director of Field Services (AMPS), you’ll deliver reactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance support, adhering to NERC requirements for inspection, testing, and documentation. This encompasses a wide range of equipment, from wind turbines and solar inverters to batteries, weather stations, PV arrays, breakers, transformers, regulators, capacitors, and reactors.

 

As an active participant in the behavior-based safety program, ensure that all team members and contractors comply with safety procedures and task-oriented job safety analyses. Communicate and enforce site safety rules through Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and meetings. Demonstrate procedural compliance in site operation and maintenance by following established procedures. Facilitate daily work, including report production. Inspect, operate, and repair site equipment both directly and remotely. Coordinate High Voltage (HV) switching and curtailments with local utilities and the Independent System Operator (ISO). Maintain site equipment to the highest standards for availability, reliability, efficiency, and profitability. Use work planning skills, schedule activities, and follow up to ensure work conformance. Conduct routine inspections, prepare oil analysis samples, and use safety tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Manage on-site work coordination among contractors and vendors, support technology upgrades, and maintain cleanliness. Comply with contractual and legal obligations impacting plant operation. Provide equipment operation training to contractors and other site employees. Consistently apply Job Safety Plan techniques, hazard controls, and permits to work (LOTO) when addressing plant abnormalities and equipment failures. Utilize computerized Work Order, Purchase Requisition, and Receiving software.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum two (2) years diploma in a technical program where you have learned AC/ DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment including breaker, disconnects, transformers, contactors or Equivalent Military or Trade school
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Battery Energy Storage Systems, (BESS), Wind generation sites, Utility scale power plants, Sub-station POI, or Controls & Instrumentation Maintenance. Renewables Solar and BESS construction experience or commissioning power plants a plus
  • HV Experience. Trades qualifications and certifications acceptable: (HV Lineman, Electrician, Substation Technician, or Controls Technician)
  • Obtain AVO certification or equivalent as substation technician within 12 months of hire date
  • Be proficient in using and maintaining SCADA systems

 

 

Additional Details

  • This is a field position requiring daily travel to client site(s)
  • Must be available to travel domestically to other solar plants for emergencies and assist with outages up to 70% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle on and around the plant
  • Ability to travel nationally at short notice and work for periods of time remote from your home to support our operational assets
