The Project Delivery, Project Management Director for ENGIE, provides strategic leadership for a rolling portfolio of Renewable, Construction/Pre-Construction projects and mitigates potential risk by being proactive in assessing and addressing potential issues.

 

In this role you will provide:

Strategic Leadership: Tactical leadership and strategic direction to a staff of Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Construction Site Managers to ensure project scopes, schedules, and budgets are managed for success. Develop strategic project objectives and provide direction for projects from late-stage development through pre-construction and construction phases. Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas and communicate relevant information to senior management

Project Management/Execution: Manage the integration of development and construction execution functions for committed projects. Provide tactical leadership for the preparation and maintenance of detailed project execution strategies, including contracting strategies, project management execution plans, construction plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure the overall success of project execution by consistently implementing construction management tools for each assigned project

Contractor Management: Participate in the pre-qualification of all contractors to ensure the best opportunity for project execution success. Ensure that safety, quality, cost, environmental, landowner, and legal requirements are achieved or exceeded while accomplishing project objectives

Technical Guidance and RFP Process: Understand the implications of variance technical options and able to guide engineering designs to achieve the best optimal solution for each situation. Support the balance-of-plant process, preparation of turbine installation bid documents, and the Request for Proposal process. Assist with the negotiation of construction contracts. Provide input to the pre-engineering and constructability reviews, driving procurement of long-lead equipment and assisting the Pre-Construction Department with the construction contracting strategy

Leadership During Construction: Provide leadership during project construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, cost, environmental, landowner, and other project requirements are met or exceeded. Ensure the execution of work in accordance with contracts and policies

Financial Analysis and Compliance: Consolidate and analyze budgets, costs, forecasts, and utilization against established financial goals

Collaboration: Support, and solicit input from, staff at all levels of the organization while establishing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues, and reinforce a team approach throughout the enterprise, both on projects and internal initiatives

Team Leadership and Development: Provide strategic direction and manage the development of Construction Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Construction Site Managers and provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to assigned staff at all levels

Resource Management/Staff Development: Provide primary support to HR Department in recruiting new talent and developing Project Management job descriptions. Is the leader to review Project Management candidates, interview, and recommend successful Project Management candidates to fill roles to grow the Delivery Project Management group

Build Customer Relationships: Develop effective relationships with internal departments, contractors, suppliers, landowners, and other stakeholders. Establish effective and supportive relationships with colleagues, and solicit input from, staff at all levels of the organization. Reinforce a team approach throughout the enterprise, both on projects and internal initiatives

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of equivalent technical training. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Engineering or Master of Business Administration    

  • Minimum 10 years in the utility scale energy sector including renewable energy, industrial construction, or capital project management
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent, preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management and constructing methods for large projects, contract management, procurement, and supply chain management, environmental, building permitting, and transportation logistics
  • Basic knowledge of construction labor relations throughout the U.S and Canada
  • Basic knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes, including Uniform Building Code (UBC), International Building Code (IBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), National Fire Protection Association, (NFPA), and American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
  • Basic knowledge of land surveying methods and practices, aerial photography, and mapping (including UTM and NAD coordinate systems), and geospatial references
  • Ability to interpret documents produced in AutoCAD, GIS, and other discipline-relevant software
  • Understanding of project/construction management software platforms, preferable Procore and Microsoft Project Online
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products
  • Effective leadership and team-building skills with organizational commitment, ability to demonstrate strategic vision, and ability to work successfully with a team daily in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at our Broomfield, CO office two weeks a month, with the balance of time at project sites or hybrid ENGIE office
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, for the use of hire cars or personal cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetings
  • This position consists of 35% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually

What You Can Expect

As the ROCC Operator I located in Houston, TX, you will be working under the supervision of the ROCC Supervisor and in collaboration with Engineering, IT and Operations stakeholders, to monitor and coordinate the Real Time operation of ENGIE’s 4.5 GW of renewable fleet of utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage assets across North America from the 24/7/365 Renewable Operations Control Center to ensure stable and reliable operation of generation facilities.

 

 

Every shift, you will complete daily monitoring duties, to include maintenance of a thorough operations log and completion of shift checklists, track progress using CROW software, and work through a customized orientation packet designed for onboarding ROCC operators at ENGIE.

 

 

  • Ensure the reliable operation of ENGIE renewable assets, to include maintaining continual communication with on-site personnel and Asset Managers 
  • Implement and coordinate ENGIE asset outages as needed to support preventive and corrective maintenance
  • During abnormal system operating conditions or when sites have individual problems, evaluate the situation, direct and coordinate the solution in collaboration with on-site personnel and ROCC supervision

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have an associate’s degree in engineering or a relevant trade qualification (e.g. power system technician, protection, and control technologist 
  • You are able to obtain a PJM Generation Dispatcher certification within 12 months of start date

As the Site Operations Manager for this 250 MW power plant situated near Goliad, TX, you bear the responsibility for overseeing total employment, training, schedules, safety, and the day-to-day financial operations of the site. In your capacity as lead of safety, it is imperative to ensure that all permits and reports are current, valid, and in compliance with both federal and state regulatory agencies. Utilizing systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), you will monitor daily asset performance and regulatory compliance to meet standards set by organizations such as the National Electrical Renewables Council (NERC). Collaboration with cross-functional management may be necessary to provide reports on the status, progress, and development of various projects on-site.

 

  • Able to provide technical and management support for the design and operations of the solar site.
  • Must be willing to attain substation technician certification within 12 months of hire date
  • Carries out all responsibilities under environmental legislation to prevent environmental spills
  • Manages a safety program that complies with all Federal and State requirements ensuring the safe operation of the site regarding the public, employees, and equipment

What You’ll Bring

The Partnership Management Team at ENGIE oversees multiple partnerships within our ~6GW operational fleet of Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage assets. The Partnership Management Senior Contracts and Reporting Analyst, located in Houston, TX, will be an integral part of the Partnership Management Team. Every day, in this role, you will support the Partnership Management Team in the maintenance of partner relationships by producing reports and other deliverables as required under the partnership agreements, organizing, and retaining documents per company policy, refining processes, automating recurring tasks to promote scalability of our operations, liaising with cross-functional teams to meet partner requirements, conducting contract review, and ensuring compliance.

 

  • Play a key role in timeliness and accuracy of key deliverables to our partners including yearly budget, board materials, minutes of board meetings, monthly operating reports
  • Coordinate with Partnership Management Team and other departments to respond to partner inquiries
  • Collaborate across the organization to ensure compliance with partnership agreements regarding reporting, budgetary compliance and communication
  • Lead in the implementation of tools to track and automate compliance
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting

You will lead the creation and the guidance of the policies, procedures, instructions, and activity plans for H&S and the Emergency Response Systems for the present and the future. You will actively participate and assist in the execution of the RGBU Integrated Management Systems throughout the region, including contractors and providers. Monitor and evaluate the data, KPIs, execution of action plans, etc., to provide the outcome, efficiency, and enhancements required of this system.

 

Additionally you will, provide guidance and support to all managers and supervisor on H&S issues, and help foster a strong H&S culture in the organization by suggesting activities, training, enhancements in the organization and tools, etc. Manage the H&S Renewables team to oversee, guide and help site managers, supervisors and contractors to achieve the R GBU objectives in the region. You will be tasked with overseeing the budget and resources of the H&S department and also ensuring legal compliance and represent the organization in front of authorities in matters related with HSE.

 

  • Help entities to follow the internal and external H&S audits, and monitors the progress of the action plans that need to be carried out
  • Coordinate the yearly education program on H&S with the various Departments, such as courses, lectures and workshops

  • Drive transactions toward closure
  • Coordinate and lead internal approvals throughout the bid process, from initial offer to management approvals, including presenting to renewables leadership committee
  • Collaborate and coordinate with ENGIE’s project development and delivery team, and ENGIE personnel in other departments and business lines that engage with utility or corporate customers,
  • Ensure that the project attributes that are important to customers are shared with development team
  • Prepare template presentation and proposal materials for customers and their buyers to support the origination effort
  • Lead establishment of strategy, pricing, and structure of deals
  • Lead the internal support teams though all aspects of the complex sales process through to closing
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers
  • Define and enable the strategy for your region and play vital role in broader strategic planning initiatives
  • Represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as speaker, panelist, and energy leader

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or related field of study where you have learned contracts, negotiations, business administration, or similar based program

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in energy industry; preferably in renewable energy with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in power origination
  • A solid track record of success in a development or sales capacity in the clean energy sector securing long term power sale agreements on renewable energy projects with utilities and corporations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, structure, negotiate, coordinate, and execute power sale agreements together with internal and external advisors
  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets
  • Working knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) operations, electric transmission and power generation and storage technologies
  • Team first mindset, with focus on collaboration and ability to reach a common goal
  • Strong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Ability to prepare marketing materials, presentations and proposal materials needed to pitch origination opportunities to customers
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Results oriented leader with the ability to work independently within a large matrixed organization while effectively interfacing with the various cross-functional employee groups
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy  
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 35% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders on evening and weekends

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
