What You Can Expect
As the Project Finance Advisor, you will provide Energy Solutions' (ES) public and private customers with expert consulting on financing for energy solutions across the United States. You will monitor legislative, regulatory, and market changes, research state and federal financing programs, and guide customers—especially school districts, colleges, and government agencies—on securing financing and grants. Collaborating with ENGIE’s Business Development and Operations teams, and the Commercial and Risk Director, you will drive these initiatives.
In this position, you will work with the sales and marketing teams to identify, develop, and acquire new customers, expediting contract closures by delivering essential financing information. By consulting with Chief Financial Officers and Vice Presidents of Finance, you'll create tailored financing solutions that remove funding obstacles in the sales process. You'll also advise sales management on high-potential clients, ensuring resources are focused on the most profitable opportunities. Additionally, you will develop sector-specific financing guidelines to support the sales force.
Your responsibilities include conducting risk reviews to validate project economics and financing assumptions, ensuring risk mitigation and optimization of customer cash flow and ES margins. You'll identify new business opportunities from public financing packages and communicate these to sales and operations management. You will ensure thorough credit screenings for prospective customers and review requirements for those nearing contract finalization.
You will also handle special projects like Mergers &Acquisitions (M & A) due diligence, refining standard procedures, enhancing pricing models, and creating unique financial models for energy projects. Working with leadership, you'll establish new internal financing programs, including Private Label Programs and state-mandated conduit financing programs. You'll stay informed on rebates, incentives, and funding opportunities related to ENGIE’s products, coordinating with the policy and regulatory team to track and promote new funding sources. As the Finance Project Finance Advisor you'll present insights on incentive, rebate, and grant projects to shape business development strategy.
This position is located in one of ENGIE’s Kansas or California Offices and will report to the Commercial and Risk Director.

What You Can Expect
Our Contracts Analyst II, located at the University of Iowa Campus, will collaborate closely with our Capital Projects team on campus and provide active support to team members located at Georgetown University, The Ohio State University, and our Corporate Office in Houston, TX. This dynamic role entails supporting the negotiation, development, and administration of capital project contracts associated with campus energy systems' capital improvement projects. Additionally, there may be involvement in contract activities for business development concerning new partnerships with universities, commercial, and industrial entities.
Every day is different, however one aspect of this role is constant. The significance of building and maintaining strong relationships. You'll engage with various groups and divisions within ENGIE, vendors, subcontractors, and the University on a daily basis, recognizing that robust partnerships are essential for our success on campus.
Your daily responsibilities will involve assisting project managers and contract advisors in the contracting and procurement process for all capital improvement projects on Campus. This includes supporting the development and tracking of Request for Proposal (RFP) packages, ensuring alignment with project schedules and stakeholder requirements. You'll take the lead in the contract bidding process for low-risk contracts, acting as the single point of contact for bidders, organizing site visits, and issuing RFP addenda as needed. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements in our contracts will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in negotiating with selected bidders, employing a documented process and sound judgment to resolve scope, terms, and other discrepancies.
You'll also contribute to the procurement process by creating vendor-related agreements for services and materials, and participate in the development and tracking of legal documents such as contractual submittals, notices, and change orders as necessary. Furthermore, you'll review supplier/contract project invoicing for compliance with contracts, support project close-out documentation requirements using provisional acceptance and final acceptance contract documentation, and track, evaluate, and qualify new and existing contractor relationships. Providing support on contractual claims and disputes will also be part of your responsibilities.

What You Can Expect
As our Project Management, Senior (PM) working in a self-managed team concept, you will be a part of the ENGIE capital projects team based at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Our projects are located on two local University campuses, and includes the University Hospital. As part of this team you will be responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus. Projects range in size from $100,000 to $50M, with completion of each taking the span of 1-5 years.
This position is being hired in support of a 50 year concession agreement to operate, maintain and enhance the University of Iowa’s utility system. The projects you’ll take on will involve numerous and diverse projects in the areas of electric and thermal energy production and distribution, and storm- and wastewater infrastructure.
No two days are the same, starting with the development stage you will be submitting reports and conducting meetings with Team members, subcontractors and stakeholders on a regular basis, providing oversight and sharing updates on projects and planning, solving construction challenges through collaboration and clearing the path and working towards successful completion. The key measurements of success are successful completion of projects with no health, safety or environmental and public relations, on time and under budget. You will be managing contracts for both Design and construction of capital projects within the central plants, and managing project teams made of internal staff, external consultants and Operations and maintenance staff.

What You Can Expect
As a Utility Plant Operator I (UPO I) at our University of Iowa location, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating power generation equipment that powers campus facilities, including the University Hospital. This equipment includes, pumps, air compressors, conveying systems, fans, electric motors, ash conveying systems, control valves, mobile equipment, and other industrial equipment.
Each day begins with a handoff from the previous shift to understand the current operating status of the plant and tasks to be completed. The primary task of a UPO I involves the safe operation of the plant's equipment. You will conduct hourly rounds, monitoring equipment status, checking for leaks or abnormalities. Additional responsibilities include housekeeping tasks, and completing logs at the end of rounds and shift. Assisting with weekly preventive maintenance (PM) during day shifts.
We currently operate three steam generators and four natural gas-powered generators. Communication of pertinent information among shift members, support personnel, maintenance, and management is facilitated through Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Maximo (our Computerized Maintenance Management System).
The UPO I may also provide relief and support in other job classifications, including Maintenance and Fuel Unloading. Other duties include performing regular testing and treatment of boiler water as directed and checking offsite equipment located at the Hospital and West Campus.
This position follows a rotating shift schedule, rotating between days and nights every two weeks. You will work seven scheduled days every fourteen days (Dupont rotating schedule), including nights, holidays, and weekends.
Availability for vacation coverage, emergency relief, and overtime as required by the plant management team is essential.
