You will be in charge of the following tasks :

 

  • Coordinate the monthly closing, Best Estimate end of year, Budget and Mid-Term Plan
  • Provide timely, accurate and relevant financial reporting (monthly closing, Budget, Best Estimate) in collaboration with operational teams
  • Prepare performance review documentation to management which includes financial, key messages and relevant analyses ;
  • Structure and follow up the performance plan in consistency with Group requirements/targets ;
  • Ensure appropriate administrative procedures, processes and reporting are in place and respected ;
  • Depending on GBS projects, capacity to lead various types of projects (internal to the team or transversal to GBS) around Finance topics;
  • Propose enhancement of process and automation of tools where relevant ;

 

Hard skills:

  • You have a significant experience in Finance and controlling
  • You have a good knowledge of the consolidation tool, and mainly SAP Financial Consolidation
  • You are well-versed in office tools (in particular Excel and Powerpoint) ;

Context:

 

As part of its Risk Management & Market Access services, GEMS is developing its capacity to offer tailor-made/structured energy supply and risk management solutions, and reinforcing its xVA trading desk in charge of the management/hedging of credit/liquidity/funding risks.

 

Role:

 

Deals structuring role

This is a front office role fully integrated within sales and trading teams and which requires direct interaction with the clients and close collaboration with other internal stakeholders such as Risk, Finance and Legal teams.

As a Structurer your main focus will be to actively contribute to the development and negotiation of complex and bespoke structured transactions (combination of energy sale & purchase, derivatives products and financing solutions) on the Central Western Europe market.

Your key responsibilities within the team will be:

  • Create and design with sales/originators and traders innovative structured transactions, alternative solutions and adaptation of existing products in response to clients demand and changing market conditions,
  • Proactively cooperate with sales/originators for preparing GEMS’ offer and/or replying to client RFPs (analysis of client exposure, review of the narratives, product and pricing proposal, draft of term sheet and client meetings),
  • Structure and execute bespoke transactions:
    • Lead deal structure negotiation with client and review contract documentation in collaboration with legal,
    • Coordinate and work closely with all relevant internal stakeholders during the deal structuration process involving risk teams, support functions (legal, accounting, tax …) and operations,
    • Prepare, present and ensure deal approval through the relevant internal stakeholders and committee(s) in accordance with internal governance,
  • Provide advisory and specialized expertise on structured transactions and risk matters for business opportunities in the European power market,
  • Support origination in preparing marketing documents, client pitches and attending sectorial conferences,
  • Contribute to the development/improvement of risk assessment (e.g., credit risk, performance risk, financing risk, regulatory risk), risk management and pricing methodologies (including CVA and regulatory costs) to better assess risks and make sure that structured transactions are competitive,
  • Participate to the development/improvement of contract templates in close collaboration with legal and origination,
  • Work closely with middle and back offices in charge of the management of the structured transactions portfolio (management guidelines, covenants monitoring, waivers, …),
  • Maintain close collaborative relationships with the other internal partners of Engie.

xVA structuring role

  • Support the xVA desk’s daily activities such as the pricing and the management of hedging strategies
  • Development of the XVA Desk ecosystem, by building tools/analytics to price, manage and follow positions, using innovative technologies when relevant.
  • Participate actively in methodology improvements concerning XVAs: development of new models, parameterizations, quantitative studies.
  • Be a reference of excellence and grow others traders and sales people in the understanding of the XVA components and theirs impacts on current as well as new businesses

 

  Education and professional background:

  • 10-15 years of professional experience and proven credentials in structuring and executing transactions in the commodities / energy sector,
  • Strong financial experience built in Markets Division and Structure Finance Division of investment banks,
  • Good understanding of the risks, their assessment and the mitigation solutions acquired in a credit department,
  • Knowledge of the European power and gas market,
  • Master degree in quantitative discipline (maths, engineering, finance, etc.).

Context:

  • Develop, implement, enforce and update policies, procedures and control plan;

  • Ensure the implementation of the compliance framework including identifying and raising gaps for remediation if needed
  • Developing and maintaining a transversal risked-based framework to focus on major compliance, ethics and privacy risks and perform an efficient risk-monitoring program;

  • Attend and/or animate internal committees related to compliance specific topics (as per e.g algorithmic trading, value trading, market conduct…);

Context:

 

The Business platform “Gas Delivery & Physical” is in charge within GEMS to ensure physical operations on behalf of its customers, both internal and external:

  • scheduling (nomination & matching) gas deliveries,
  • balancing portfolios on daily and hourly granularities,
  • optimizing assets on short-term maturities,
  • operating balancing assets for gas-fired power plants,
  • capturing and allocating realized flows in the trading systems,
  • LNG scheduling of discharge and reloading slots.

 

Role:

 

Within this Business platform, the Asset Management & Delivery Oversight Team is in charge of ensuring the within-day processes (Balancing & Optimization) and the post delivery processes making sure that GDP clients are understanding the operations made on their behalf. In that perspective, GDO team is made of 3*8 shifters, WD traders and realized portfolio managers. Teammate who are not in duty are also contributing to deliver projects improving operational quality or client services.

 

GDO team alongside with Asset Management and Delivery Oversights (AMDO) Team manages the delivery of gas in the European network and optimize ENGIE & subsidiaries gas portfolios.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The On-duty officer is a key player whose role is:

 

  • Execute GEMS’s LNG operations in connection with European LNG terminals,
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of GEMS's European gas portfolio and ensure its modeling in GDP tools,
  • Through a proactive attitude, leverage on contract expertise to manage delivery risks, capture opportunities, and increase extracted value,
  • Supervise the implementation of deliveries and support GDO in managing assets,
  • Participate in a night and weekend on-call rotation in order to:
    • Supervise and support GDO's asset portfolio management,
    • Ensure the first level of management in the event of a crisis, in contact with GEMS management,
  • Ensure the proper capture of deals, the production of reports and indicators, and the relationship with GEMS support services,
  • Lead various initiatives or projects related to GDP operational activities and/or its digital and commercial ambitions,
  • Collaborate with GEMS teams on projects where you will bring your short-term management expertise (contract negotiation, capacity subscription policy, etc.).

Context:

Within GEMS, the Risk Expertise Center’s purpose is to, on one hand, advise and help the Business Platforms in optimizing their activities making sure it respects all the rules and limits, and on the other hand, to manage, monitor and control the risks that GEMS is facing globally in its commercial and energy management activities.

In the context of its re-organization, the EC Risk has created new Transversal Risk functions with the general objectives to provide a sound global risk framework through the design of the global risk mandates and policies, and to harmonize and spread best practices across all GEMS local development areas.

Role:

As Transversal Risk Methodology Expert, you will report to the Transversal CRO and will be in charge of:

 

  • Model validation: you are accountable for pricing model validations across all entities outside of EGM and you will check compliance with MtM rules when migrating a book from S-P to MtM perimeter;
  • Cartography: you are responsible and accountable for the cartography of authorized products on MtM perimeter outside of EGM, and you maintain a clear list of validated metrics for each scope;
  • Model user support for market /credit / liquidity risk metrics outside of EGM;
  • New Business process outside of EGM : you ensure transversality of the market and credit risk framework across GEMS, in particular for countries;
  • Liquidity risk: you coordinate the EGM Risk Methodology Core Team work as designer of the Liquidity Risk metrics for the scope outside of EGM;

Process Safety & Risk Engineer (H/F)

The mission of the Flex Generation & Retail Global Business Unit (F-GBU) is to contribute to ENGIE’s development and accompany the energy transition, with renewables balancing and industry decarbonation. To achieve this, the GBU will leverage on the industrial and digital expertise of its 15,000 engaged employees.

The GBU has three main activities, with a common challenge/opportunity around the decrease of CO2 emissions:

- Flex Gen: 60 GW of power production capacities – mainly from gas – and power storage; and world #1 in water desalination

- Supply: 22 million B2C contracts of power & gas sales and associated services in 5 main countries; energy access benefitting to 6 million lives in Africa

- Hydrogen: large-scale green hydrogen production and a role of hydrogen coordination within ENGIE

- Battery storage: the newly created BESS cockpit aims to build a portfolio of 10 GW of batteries capacity by 2030.

In Flex Gen, the GBU targets to maintain its operational excellence and reach 90% availability for its fleet. A clear roadmap towards a green portfolio has been set including selective growth in focused geographies and coal exit by 2025 in Europe and 2027 in the World.

In B2C Supply, the GBU aims at increasing the share of services and power sales, while reducing CO2 emissions by 34% from 2017 to 2030 (incl. B2B Supply).

The GBU targets the long-term development of hydrogen, with an objective to build a green hydrogen production capacity portfolio of 4 GW by 2030.

 

The F-GBU HQ is recruiting : A Process Safety & Risk Engineer

(Based in Paris)

 

 

 

ROLE

• Steer and support the new projects on Process Safety through conceptual up to operational readiness, including also Hydrogen projects.

• Champion the process safety and technological risk during engineering and execution phases of those projects.

• Ad hoc support on Process Safety Management on existing operational assets and entities.

 

RESPONSIBILTIES

 

Compliance with laws and regulations

• Interpret regulatory requirements for different countries and ensure that the appropriate HSE studies are developed during the project phases in a timely manner (particularly those required for the permitting process),

• Validate requests submitted for exemption from application of reference procedures.

 

Process Safety Management and risk evaluation during DESIGN and CONSTRUCTION activities

• Ensure that Process Safety Management principles and best practices are implemented early in the design phase of each project

• Ensure that a risk based approach is undertaken to the development of the project (which may be over and above the basic prescriptive requirements of the country)

• Define the list and contents of process safety deliverables required for the scope of the project and regulatory requirements

• Prepare/review/validate the Scope of Work for the engineering contractors

• Prepare and evaluate the HSE prequalification questionnaires and support the bid assessment processes

• Liaise with the client / partner in terms of permitting support and interfaces on HSE

• Issue/validate studies performed prior to submission to authorities for the permitting process

• Oversight the EPC contractors / Owner Engineers on Process Safety Management

• Review and comment HSE/safety deliverables issued by the contractors

• Track progress on projects ensuring that deliverables are undertaken in a timely manner and at the required quality

• Participate proactively in HSE workshops and monitor, follow up and assess agreed recommendations and ensure their implementation

• Interpret and make recommendations based on findings of the safety studies (QRA / Fire and Explosion studies or similar) to ensure that those can meet the requirement by the local regulatory authorities and Engie’s minimum requirements.

• Provide support in writing the Operational and Safety Manual

• Identify hazards using recognized identifications techniques (HAZID, FMEA, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, SIL)

• Undertake consequence modelling as part of the premilitary assessment of projects or to validate findings of studies undertaken by third parties

• Assess and implement safeguards appropriate for the hazards being considered (like inherent safety in design, active and passive fire protection, human factors engineering…)

• Undertake risk assessment to determine whether safeguards are adequate to mitigate hazards (SIL, LOPA, fault tree…)

 

Process Safety Management and risk evaluation during COMMISSIONING and OPERATIONS activities

• Prepare, direct or participate in HSE studies and risk assessments undertaken for commissioning, start up and operation of the projects

• Lead Process Safety Incidents Investigations and track implementation of recommendations

 

  CRITICAL SKILLS

• Analytical thinking, writing and reporting skills

• Good to excellent understanding of operational safety

• Excellent command of Process Safety engineering principles for onshore gas plants

• Experienced in consequence modelling techniques

• Demonstrate effective understanding and application of safety regulations and procedures appropriate to the gas industry

• Demonstrate understanding and application of process safety principles in reducing public risk

• Demonstrate understanding and experience of defining emergency actions for hazard identified

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Qualification: Chartered Chemical/Process Safety engineering degree

• Professional experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role,
  • Minimum of 5 years in use and interpretation of process hazard analysis software such as PHAST or equivalent,
  • Minimum of 7 relevant years in energy or petro-chemical or gas projects.

• Experience in French regulatory requirements/studies (etude de danger) an advantage

• Proven Experience in hydrogen is considered as an advantage.

PRESENTATION DE GAZ RENOUVELABLES EUROPE

GAZ RENOUVELABLES EUROPE (RGE) est l'entité d'ENGIE responsable du développement de la production de gaz renouvelables et bas carbone en Europe. Depuis 2015, ENGIE développe une activité de production de biométhane. Début 2023, son portefeuille comprend 26 centrales en exploitation, dont 19 détenues majoritairement et exploitées, avec une capacité de production totale de 550 GWh/an @100% et un pipe de développement de 1,4 TWh/an.

ENGIE est déterminé à devenir un acteur majeur du biométhane en Europe. L'ambition est de croître rapidement pour atteindre une capacité de production de biométhane de 10 TWh/an d'ici 2030.

En Europe, en dehors de la France, des projets de production de biométhane sont déjà en cours de développement au Royaume-Uni, aux Pays-Bas, en Belgique, en Allemagne, en Pologne et en Italie. L'Espagne, le Portugal et la Roumanie sont d'autres pays d'intérêt. La stratégie consiste à développer des projets, en propre et par le biais de fusions-acquisitions, pour injecter du biométhane dans le réseau de gaz ou pour produire du bioGNL.

Pour concrétiser cette forte ambition, RGE étend son organisation, en France et en Europe, en s'appuyant sur des organisations opérationnelles locales dans chaque pays et sur une organisation globale qui gère et soutient l'activité et s'appuie sur les ressources de T&G.

 

Description du poste

En tant que Chef de Projet Applicatif Senior, vous serez au cœur de la transformation numérique de RGE France. Vous piloterez une variété de projets applicatifs, allant de la mise en place de systèmes CRM, à l’implémentation de modules SAP (comme SD), en passant par la mise en œuvre d’outils de pilotage de la construction ou la mise en place d’outils financiers du Groupe ou d’une GED. Ces projets, bien que distincts et variés, ont tous un point commun : ils sont essentiels à la réussite de notre entreprise.

Votre rôle sera de coordonner ces projets, parfois transverses et cross-country, en travaillant en étroite collaboration avec diverses équipes métier et techniques. Vous devrez faire preuve d’une grande adaptabilité pour comprendre les spécificités de chaque projet et mettre en place les meilleures solutions pour répondre aux besoins de l’entreprise.

 

Vous serez sous la responsabilité du Responsable Applications et Projets.

 

Responsabilités principales

  • Piloter la mise en œuvre de projets applicatifs, du cadrage du besoin, à la conception puis la livraison. Vous vous assurez également de bien cadrer le passage du projet en mode RUN.
  • Accompagner la rédaction des cahiers des charges si besoin.
  • Piloter les appels d’offre, lorsque cela sera nécessaire.
  • Assurer la coordination et la communication entre les différentes parties prenantes du projet.
  • Pour certains projets, définir le « cœur » et suivre le déploiement au sein des entités de la RGE.
  • Gérer les risques et les problèmes liés au projet, et proposer des solutions appropriées.
  • Préparer des rapports de projets clairs et précis pour les parties prenantes, intégrant l’avancement, les risques, les difficultés et les solutions proposées.
  • Elaborer et gérer le budget de chaque projet, suivre les coûts, et assurer la rentabilité du projet.
  • Mettre en place une gouvernance efficace avec les équipes, y compris les prestataires éventuels (rôles et responsabilités, comités, …).

 

 

Compétences attendues

  • Une expérience significative en gestion de projets applicatifs, parfois complexes.
  • Une connaissance des environnements ERP (CRM, SAP) et une capacité à piloter des projets ERP, et sur des domaines diverses.
  • Une capacité à travailler en équipe et à collaborer avec différents Métiers.
  • D’excellentes compétences en communication ; capacité à présenter des informations complexes de manière claire et concise.
  • De bonnes compétences en négociation.
  • Une capacité à analyser les problèmes, à évaluer les options et à proposer des solutions.
  • Une maîtrise de l’anglais, à l’écrit comme à l’oral.
  • Une très bonne connaissance des méthodes de gestion de projet. La connaissance des méthodes agiles est un plus.
