Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Project Management executive and Regional Renewables or EM engineering team, to know and understand : the projects specifications (M&E equipment, systems, infrastructure, structural & civil works), the performances guarantees, the project execution HSE,QA/QC plans.
  • Assist in planning the project construction kick-off, coordinate with engineering, contractors, support the finalization of the project HSE, quality, planning, performances, QA/QC control execution plans,
  • Support for coordination with Malaysian Authorities, utilities and Government Agencies for project regular and special inspections, infrastructure and project authorizations, and for general project implementation coordination required,
  • Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential HSE hazards, train and give feedbacks to construction contractors and subcontractors, educate site workers on construction HSE regulations and accident protocol, ensuring that HSE policies and legislation are adhered to,
  • Monitor and control the project execution works QA/QC quality compliance and assist in variation orders and claims from contractors if any; ensure the adherence to schedule of deliverables on site,
  • perform site review, initiate coordination meetings, issue regular project progress internal / external reports, identify critical risks, engineering & construction constraints, issues raised by stakeholders and the potential related deviations; Recommend changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency; Monitor, check and record all construction shop drawings and floor plans.
  • Maintain accurate record of construction employees attendance on site, evaluate the performance of such construction employees and institute disciplinary measures as needed.
  • Ensure project construction is implemented in accordance with strict adherence to HSE procedures, complying with technical specifications, QA/QC plan, within budget and according to schedule as stated in the power purchase agreement or contract signed with the customer,
  • Prepare the project testing and commissioning, handover procedures to deliver project performances guaranteed to the customer as well as training on HSE, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), project documentation - including manuals and as build drawings – for the O&M operations teams and ensuring practice and knowledge is effectively transferred.
  • At the end of each project, initiate, plan and coordinate – for the Project Management section - for a full review the project in order to define the return-on-experience, best practices, methods, tools and organization for the Projects team quality and performances improvement.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in  Environmental  engineering  or  in  Electrical/Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years and proven record of successfully managing, supervising full spectrum of renewable solar projects with technical team, contractor coordination, with direct  construction responsibility, with hands on experience of renewable solar plant
  • Knowledge about Renewables, Solar  engineering,  project   planning,  coordination  and  contracts management with interfacing with Malaysian authorities (SEDA, MIDA, Energy Commission)  
  • Experience in Modbus communication and solar monitoring system

Assistant Design Manager (HVAC/ACMV Design & Energy Management)

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conducting feasibility studies, energy simulations, basic/detailed designs, and front-end engineering designs of utility systems.
  • Carry out detailed energy data analysis, provide professional interpretation of the analysis (energy usage and consumption, energy system design-operations-maintenance observations), convert analysis into charts, plots and synthetic tables for ease of communication and presentation.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Project Team and Regional Technical teams throughout the project development lifecycle, from Utilities Plant-Facilities preliminary audit, detailed audit, proposal development, through to contract signing and project kick-off
  • Costing for project CAPEX and OPEX and project timeline
  • Carry out Preliminary and Detailed Energy Audit including short term metering and logging to measure energy related data at site, identify the source of energy to a facilities, identify areas where energy savings can be achieved, recommends energy savings measures to be taken. 
  • Liaise with internal engineering teams, consultants, suppliers to understand, establish, review, validate and issue the projects specifications (M&E equipment, systems, infrastructure, structural & civil works), capital expenditures, operations expenditures, and the performances guarantees; liaise with customers, including presentation and validation,
  • Liaise with Malaysian Authorities, utilities and Government Agencies for project incentives application / coordination, regular and special inspections, infrastructure and project authorizations, licensing issues, and for general project implementation coordination required,
  • Liaise, evaluate and negotiate with contractors, vendors and/or suppliers proposals to match technical-financial, health-safety, quality, capital expenditures and profitability specifications and requirements,
  • If required for such project, liaise with Consultants for Bid tendering, bid evaluation and contractors/equipment suppliers selection, 
  • Draft and float Requests for Proposals for external consultants, suppliers and contractors. Evaluate tender responses and their deliverables

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Electrical / Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Any Certificate of Competencies such as Registered Electrical Energy Manager (REEM), Certified Professional in Measurement & Verification (CPMV), Certified Energy Auditor or any other relevant certificate will be an added value
  • Experience over 8 years in project development & technical team supervision.
  • Design engineer for district cooling, HVAC project or large scale building waterside and airside cooling systems will be an advantage
  • Understanding of key legal and financial drivers that impact the technical solutions,
  • Experience in cooling systems Operation & Maintenance, control systems will be an advantage.
  • Hands on experience in performing Detailed Energy Audit for Chiller Plant will be an advantage
