Purpose of the Role

 

The Health & Safety, Physical Security, and Crisis Management Officer (H&SO) position is crucial to supporting ENGIE’s growth ambitions within UK businesses. This role involves effectively steering the Company's health, safety, and security responsibilities during this period of transformation. It requires both industry expertise and a practical approach to guide ENGIE UK coherently in a fast-changing business environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Country/ Offices Health and Safety Coordination:

  • Supports Country Manager to coordinate H&S actions throughout the country and to share regularly H&S events and country H&S data and reporting (through Country management committees or dedicated monthly or bimonthly H&S committees in country)
  • Supports Group H&S Function line to relay and implement transversally H&S practices through its country (transverse processes, Group H&S policies, rules and supporting processes, mandatory trainings, communication campaigns and material…) and to ensure adaptation to country specificities (language translations, regulatory requirements or constraints, cultural considerations …)
  • Engie One Safety Culture transformation plan deployment and compliance oversight within the country, with the support of the responsible H&S network and GBU heads in the country.
  • Provides input to the country level H&S strategy of the different GBUs to look for synergies between GBU’s and to implement a consolidated and consistent Group approach at country level in line with H&S Corporate guidance, legal obligations and best practice.

 

Offices Health and Safety Coordination:

 

  • Set up and coordination of a H&S champion office community
  • Office H&S RACI matrix is cascaded effectively across all offices and responsibilities clearly understood and applied
  • Ensuring that office emergency procedures are in place with a clear communication and response plan
  • Ensuring a crisis response plan that supports business continuity, including incident reporting and management plan is in place and effective in all offices
  • Ensuring signage and safety information, fire safety arrangements, emergency preparedness, health and wellbeing requirements are in place and required evidence and records are kept.
  • Ensuring adequate coverage for First Aiders and Fire Marshals in all offices
  • Assessing requirements and implementing legal and operational first aid equipment and measures in offices

 

Physical Security:

  • Ensure that the UK business complies with Group requirements regarding physical security, both for assets and individuals (e.g. when undertaking international travel on behalf of the business)
  • Ensure that appropriate physical security arrangements are put in place for any new UK assets in accordance with Group Policy, guidance and local regulatory requirements
  • Review existing controls vs Group Internal Control physical security framework (COR8b)
  • Implement security action plans for UK Country entities , [JC1] in line with recommendations agreed with European Chief Security Manager
  • Support European Chief Security Manager as appropriate, including raising awareness within the UK and rolling out physical security training

 

 

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications Required

 

 

  • Extensive proven experience of rolling out operations safely and engaging the business in crisis management
  • Experience of building effective relationships/networks across a diverse organisation, communicating at all levels. with the proven ability to simply articulate complex matters.
  • Proven track record in the energy industry, with an understanding of markets organisation
  • Knowledge of the specific UK energy markets advantageous
  • The ideal candidate would have already had experience with transversal management and with interaction with senior stakeholders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and listening skills, with the ability to engage at multiple levels to build alliance and co-operation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.

Purpose of the Role

 

The Insurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of insurance policies and insurance-related risk strategies for ENGIE within the UK. This role involves liaising with insurers, brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal coverage and compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a fixed term contract working from any of our UK offices.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Insurance Policy Management

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key brokers and insurers at local level and liaise with the wider ENGIE Group insurance team.
  • Arrange bespoke and standard policies that are aligned to the organisation's needs.
  • Ensure access to relevant information such as feedback on large losses and insurance market concerns to improve the loss prevention framework.

Claims Management

  • Optimize claims processes and ensure accountability from top management.
  • Facilitate coordination between the Group, ENGIE UK businesses, brokers and insurers.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure insurance policies are aligned with organisational frameworks and business goals.
  • Develop successful partnerships with the wider business, ensuring timely execution of deliverables including insurance certificates and schedules, together with establishing and agreeing an appropriate allocation of costs and internal recharges.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements

  • Confirm that the range of insurance policies in place remains appropriate and reflects any changes to the organisation's external and internal context.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide an escalation channel for risks outside of the management team's risk appetite.

 

 

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications Required

 

 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting constraints and the ability to anticipate and explain decisions.
  • The successful candidate will be adaptable and resilient, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. They will be a strategic thinker with a long-term perspective, capable of anticipating future needs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience in managing insurance policies and risk management strategies within the UK with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in this field is required, preferably together with a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., IRM, CII, CIRM).
  • Strong understanding of underwriting constraints and the ability to anticipate and to explain decisions.
  • Experience in managing facilities and projects/contracts across the organisation.
  • Ability to develop and deliver projects, together with effective communication strategies.
  • Proven experience in managing insurance policies, claims processes and risk management strategies within the UK.
  • Familiarity with various types of insurance including employers liability, general liability, Property Damage and Business Interruption (PDBI), Directors and Officers (D&O), motor vehicle, environmental and hired-in plant, together with experience in handling large projects and a detailed knowledge of policy wording, contract law and Construction All Risks (CAR) insurance programmes.

What You Can Expect

As our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Specialist Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience supporting financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting for ENGIE North America's expanding portfolio. Throughout your internship, you will work closely with the Global Business Unit (GBU) Asset Management, Operations, and Partnership teams, developing a strong understanding of operational profitability drivers, risk management, and liquidity planning.

You will be part of ENGIE’s finance team and contribute to preparing accurate monthly and quarterly financial results for Management, Partnership, and Group reporting. You will also participate in compiling monthly and quarterly business reviews, helping to highlight business performance and key project drivers for senior leadership.

This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the RGBU Director of FP&A. The internship work term will be from May 2025 – August 2025, part-time work schedule working up to 40 hours per week.

 

 

  • Participation in the development of annual budgets, re-forecasts, and medium-term business plans (MTP), collaborating with other Business divisions ensuring consistency with ENGIE and partners guidelines
  • Under the supervision of the FP&A Director or Advisor, prepare supporting materials for and actively participate in partnership Board meetings
  • Ensure that the GBU's budget and MTP data is correctly and promptly entered into reporting systems from our Operational SAC Budget tool to our consolidated reports
  • Participation to produce timely and accurate closing reporting, including thorough management analysis of P&L and Cash-Flow Statement components by portfolio (ENGIE and Partners). IT tools (ERP SAP, SAC) will support your analysis
  • Partner with accounting and IT departments to ensure reporting accuracy including but not limited to data mapping and creating new reporting structures
  • Support senior management with ad hoc performance reporting and analysis

  • Must be a Junior or Senior (by end of Spring 2025 semester) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $21.00 - $34.00 USD hourly

Job Summary 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT-OT Engineer to join our ENGIE India team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical IT-OT background and be prepared for extensive site travels to support onsite issues during the implementation, commissioning, and post-commissioning operations of solar and wind power plants, while base location will be Pune, India.

Main Objectives 

The IT-OT Engineer for Renewable Sites will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of renewable energy plant operations. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated systems that support the seamless operation of renewable energy sites, including wind, solar power plants. The engineer will ensure robust data communication, real-time monitoring, and control systems, while adhering to industry standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, IT-OT integration, and strong networking skills. Additionally, strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

System Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Oversee and optimize the technical IT-OT operations of renewable energy production infrastructures (solar, wind, etc.), ensuring efficient operations.
  • Monitor and manage the troubleshooting of any IT-OT issues happening on the solar and wind farms with central support and/or subcontractors.

SCADA Systems Management:

  • Ensure the proper follow-up on the maintenance plan for SCADA systems, including troubleshooting and managing issues related to cabling, optic fibre.
  • Handle level 1 troubleshooting of the SCADA system and manage the troubleshooting of any OT issues at solar and wind sites.

Cybersecurity Management:

  • Work with management and CISO to implement cybersecurity and support IT/OT risk management
  • Coordinate with the O&M department to ensure IT/OT systems properly support emergency response procedures.
  • Coordinate with O&M for the procurement and inventory of spare parts for IT and SCADA systems.

IT System Management:

  • Provide level 1 proximity support on all IT-related issues, including user support for workstations, applications, networking and IT consumables.
  • Manage the network configuration (switching, routing) and ensure the proper follow-up on the maintenance plan for industrial telecom systems.
  • Responsible for the obsolescence follow-up process (including management and patching).
  • Ensure the compliance of IT/OT-related contractors working on-site with ENGIE guidelines.
  • Report any IT-OT related abnormalities, incidents, or process deviations spotted while monitoring the systems.
  • Ensure that all IT/OT equipment (servers, control systems, SCADA, communication devices, etc.) complies with ENGIE and regulatory standards.
  • Regularly interact with the O&M department to align IT/OT systems with broader ENGIE protocols and stay updated on the latest regulations.
  • Provide hands-on management of Network devices and systems
  • Manage support activities of external providers for the delivery of network services and project tasks
  • Manage network systems to ensure compliance is maintained with cybersecurity policies
  • Provide input into the risk management programme ensuring that Information Technology systems Disaster Recovery plans - include network services and other network elements.
  • In the event of a cybersecurity incident perform tasks as directed by CISO
  • Coordinate with technology and business groups to assess, implement, and monitor IT-related security risks/hazards
  • Report security performance against established security metrics

 

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) including PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and IPC, PPC.
  • Familiarity with automation hardware and software, Windows Server and client architecture, and IT hardware for power plants.
  • Understanding of OT networking, OT network components, communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC/UA, TCP/IP, Profinet, and OT server and storage components.
  • Technical hands-on experience in networking , routing , switching.
  • Experience in implementing cybersecurity tools for OT environments.
  • Knowledge of industry standards like ISA/IEC 62443.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience managing a complex IT and/or OT system.
  • 5-8 years of experience in IT/OT systems, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA architecture is mandatory.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, cybersecurity, and IT support.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to various sites for onsite support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Flexible mindset, able to work outside the comfort zone.
  • Certifications CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Certified Automation Professional

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a group digitalization project dedicated to the Legal Line
  • Drafting and Analysis of Legal Documents – Draft and review contracts and projects related agreements
  • Legal Research – Research local and international renewable energy-related regulations
  • Legal watch – Update legal databases and inform the team of regulatory developments
  • Litigation Management – Prepare files in the event of litigation and attend meetings with lawyers
  • Administrative Support – Organize files and coordinate with other departments

 

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Law (Major in Business Law, Energy, or Environment is a plus).

 

Required Skills

We are currently looking for an #ethics and compliance field passionate person to join our Ethics, Compliance and Data Protection Department as Senior Ethics and Compliance Counsel - Fixed-term Contract (estimated for 2 years).

In this role, you will be responsible for managing due diligence processes, handling embargo matters, conducting training sessions, and providing support in ethics investigations. Additionally, you will prepare for and participate in internal audits and controls assessing ethics-related activities, and conduct ethics monitoring activities within the organization.

What you will do:

  • Implement ethical processes within the organization, monitor relevant legislation, and support the updating of local policies and procedures in ethics and compliance.
  • Oversee the enforcement of ethics and compliance procedures (e.g. anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, etc.), providing guidance to key personnel to ensure all cases are managed according to ethical standards.
  • Manage ethics due diligence processes, monitor applicable legislation, and ensure company policies and procedures comply with legal requirements in terms of ethics checks and due diligence
  • Provide support to the Ethics Officer in audits focused on ethics and compliance. Manage corruption risk assessments and human rights violation reviews.
  • Assist the Ethics Officer in managing ethical complaints and incidents by analyzing documents, gathering information, discussing with involved parties, and drafting ethical analysis reports. Ensure company policies align with legal requirements by monitoring relevant legislation.
  • Support the organization in overseeing the ISO 37001 certification and recertification processes (preparing for the certification audit, managing follow-up and surveillance audits, and ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant standards and requirements).
  • Deliver presentations and training sessions on ethics and compliance, and develop customized materials for staff at different levels in accordance with the annual training plan. Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual ethics communication plan.
  • Compile and draft reports on ethics activities, including annual reports, management reviews, and monitoring documents. Develop synthesis materials on ethics, such as decisions, regulations, and instructions, as requested by the Ethics Officer.
  • Offer expert legal advice and opinions on ethics, compliance, fraud, corruption, embargoes, and international sanctions. Review and negotiate ethics and compliance clauses, ensuring the enforcement of ENGIE standards.

 

Desired education, expertise, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law/Economics;
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position (ethics and compliance counsel) and/or auditor;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and English;
  • Thorough understanding of ethics, compliance, anti-bribery and human rights legal framework;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize information;
  • Proactive approach, initiative, and mediation skills.

 

Represents advantage:

  • Experience in compliance, monitoring / auditing internal processes is highly desirable.
