Job Purpose/Mission 

The Marketing Manager is a key part of the Commercial team responsible for the development and execution of strategic & tactical sales and marketing initiatives for the EEA organization across Mozambique.  This role will be responsible for contributing to the development and overseeing the execution of strategic & tactical marketing activities to bring life changing products to millions of customers and overall commercial success for the business.

The preferred candidate should have robust experience with sales-driven marketing and trade visibility initiatives in Mozambique.

 

Responsibilities

  • Strategy – In collaboration with the Head of Commercial, own the development of the overarching marketing strategy for EEA Mozambique, with specific focus on customer segmentation, go to market strategies for new product launches and key customer insights to deliver superior results
  • Marketing OperationsBe a thought partner to and support country teams in the development of impactful marketing strategies, plans and campaigns to support the sales, customer finance, CX and product functions in meeting the country’s business goals and objectives
  • Create and cascade frameworks & tools for execution of sales and promotional campaigns, trade marketing across the EEA markets
  • Performance Management - Create benchmarks, best practices and tools for country marketing teams to plan, implement and monitor the performance of their activities, such as: marketing campaign plans, customer segmentation analysis, ROI metrics & measurement, budgeting and reporting processes.
  • Marketing support – Coordinate regular trainings and provide general support to country marketing teams in identified areas of improvement. Also, collaborate with and provide support to other global departments such as product, customer experience, customer finance
  • Budget management – Develop and manage the department budget and support Country teams in setting budgets aligned with marketing strategy/mix ambition.

Knowledge and skills 

Experience:

  • At least 6 - 8 years’ experience in marketing with advertising agency, renewable energy and/or FMCG experience in Mozambique
  • Experience with building and managing marketing teams
  • Ability to utilize data to measure activity and extract key insights to iterate and refine initiatives
  • Ability to identify target audiences, develop strategy and employ tactics that engage, inform and motivate them
  • Highly innovative and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across a variety of locations and cultures

What You Can Expect

As the Software Engineer, Sr Advisor for ENGIE FlexGen (Flexible Generation including Storage, Thermal, and Hydrogen) North America you will be a key developer in a cross-functional development group. Within ENGIE’s dynamic environment, you will be expected to design, implement and test control algorithms for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Every day, you will provide input on controls, simulation and modeling development in a wide range of software development activities and occasionally be the sole development resource on a project.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Control Systems, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in developing controls systems
  • Expertise in developing controls code using CodeSys, MATLAB/Simulink or other PLC Programming platforms
  • Experience developing or working with  Human Machine Interface  development software such as Ignition, PanelView etc.
  • Strong understanding of network communication architectures, telemetry, and protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, MQTT etc.)
  • Knowledge of Software in the Loop (SIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testing paradigms
  • Experience with software development lifecycle tools and version control using GIT
  • Prior experience leading controls development projects from development to deployment
  • Knowledge of distributed power generation technology such as Wind, solar, fuel cells, battery storage preferred

Compensation

Salary Range: $ 158,130 – $313,750USD annually

What You Can Expect

As the Reliability Engineer Advisor based in Houston, Texas within ENGIE North America’s Renewables & Flex Power business unit, your role involves providing engineering supporting within the company’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets across the USA. To complete this, you'll be tasked with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), site upgrades, and improving the overall availability and performance of the operating fleet.

 

Reporting to the Manager of Performance & Reliability Director, your primary duties encompass:

  • Lead root cause analysis efforts and provide technical knowledge for warranty administration
  • Serve as technical liaison between ENGIE and various OEMs
  • Responsible for overseeing various field scopes including performing original field testing, data collection, inspections and interacting with electrical equipment
  • Identify issues through inspection and data analysis, then develop solutions, retrofits, and upgrades to effectively address these issues
  • Utilize insights from the operating fleet to enhance QA processes for new installations

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.  In lieu of education requirements we will accept a combination of years of experience and other education/certification experience for the role
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of engineering or operations experience in power plants, or in wind, solar, or battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Experience with electrical equipment commonly found on BESS sites (PCS, batteries, transformers, breakers/switches, relays, etc. ) with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams
  • Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), National Electrical Testing Association (NETA), and other relevant standards
  • Strong understanding of asset preventative maintenance requirements in a power generation facility
  • Experience understanding electrical safety in a power generation facility
  • Be an action-oriented, self-motivator individual who can lead a team, work independently, and has strong organizational and personal skills
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience in MS OFFICE, Excel, Word, Project Management systems

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,900 – $174,570 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
