Context :

Common application Development & B2E is a transversal team within GEMS IS with the purpose of addressing all IT needs of every team or expertise center that does not have a dedicated development team.

With a large spectrum of businesses going from HR, Legal, Audit, sustainability… to IS teams like security, Management office etc, we try to help improve and digitalize all the ecosystem of GEMS. Thus we regulary have to incubate new initiatives with proof of concept and prototypes and develop new solutions hand in hand with maintaining existing ones.

Role:

As a IS Technical Leader :

  • Promoting a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement

Werkomgeving

 

Je werkt als Transport engineer, met een focus op spoorweginfrastructuur (“Light Rail” dwz tram_en metroverbindingen) , vanuit ons kantoor in Gent of Brussel, binnen onze afdeling Transport Infrastructuur, de afdeling binnen Tractebel die voornamelijk projecten ontwerpt/studeert met betrekking tot wegen, tramverbindingen, luchthavens, tunnels en bruggen.

Naast het ontwerpen van wegen is het ontwerpen van rioleringssystemen een tweede belangrijk onderdeel, rekening houdend met de klimaatsverandering en een duurzaam gebruik van het (regen)water.

 

Functie

 

  • Je werkt mee aan spoorweginfrastructuurprojecten betreffende het geometrisch spoorontwerp van tram_, metrolijnen (light rail)

Environnement de travail

 

Tu travailleras en tant qu'ingénieur en transport, avec un accent sur l'infrastructure ferroviaire ("Light Rail", c'est-à-dire les liaisons de tramway et de métro), depuis notre bureau de Gand de Bruxelles (Gare du Nord) , au sein de notre département Infrastructure des transports, le département de Tractebel qui conçoit/étudie principalement des projets liés aux routes, aux liaisons de tramway, aux aéroports, aux tunnels et aux ponts.

Principales missions confiées :

 

  • Réaliser des études de conception de systèmes I&C en interface avec les systèmes nucléaires,

  • Définition, étude et modification d’architecture de contrôle-commande,

  • Etudes de remplacement et ou d’ajout de nouveaux instruments,

  • Choix multicritères d’instruments,

  • Analyses de robustesse au séisme associées aux différents équipements,

  • Etudier l’intégration des équipements selon les contraintes d’installation,

  • Déterminer les coûts associés à la fourniture, au montage et la mise en service des installations,

  • Veille technologique et choix des matériels à prescrire en fonction des projets,

  • Participer aux activités liées à la qualification des équipements (gestion de l’obsolescence, dossiers de prélèvement sur site, …),

Compétences principales :

Compétences en Instrumentation et Contrôle-Commande : Architecture I&C, Instruments, qualification nucléaire d’équipements, systèmes de contrôle-commande.

Connaissance du fonctionnement d’installations industrielles et ou de centrales nucléaires. Une première expérience dans le domaine du nucléaire est un plus, mais pas indispensable.

Connaissance des codes de conception et des exigences spécifiques dans le nucléaire (RCC-E, IEC, etc…) est un plus.

Rigoureux, sérieux, autonome, vous possédez une forte capacité à gérer et à intervenir face à des situations imprévues. L’esprit d’équipe est une de vos qualités.

Vous êtes doté de bonnes capacités rédactionnelles et de communication, ainsi que d’un esprit de synthèse. La proactivité et la curiosité intellectuelle sont particulièrement appréciées afin d’intervenir sur des sujets diversifiés et à forte valeur ajoutée.

Your function

For the Gas product, you are in charge of Pipeline engineering studies necessary to design, build gas pipelines; gas compression stations and all what is related to the handling of gas in an industrial environment. The concerned installations cover all natural gas or other special gases (such as H2, CO2,…) transport.

Your role will address mainly the following tasks:

  • Execute feasibilities studies analysing the optimal routing for a pipeline routing considering all aspects of constrains.
  • Integration of the project constraints in the design of the pipeline system.
  • Act as Technical Integrator of complex projects consolidating engineering studies from various disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, civil, I&C, HSE, etc.)
  • Deliver pipeline engineering services that meet Tractebel’s, its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Perform technical-economic studies including cost estimates
  • Execute detailed design studies for a chose and frozen pipeline.
  • follow up of the contracting process for these services (bid comparison, technical and economic negotiations, contracting)
  • Evaluate and comment the technical documents issued by contractors and manufacturers
  • Gaining experience in covering basic engineering, detail engineering, procurement, erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning and acquisition of specific knowledge regarding pipelines and gas installations.
  • Managing the contractual and/or financial relations between the various parties involved and the interfaces between all participants in the Projects : Client, Partners, Suppliers, etc.
  • Performing of consultancy, (pre)-feasibility, Basic Design, FEED assignments

Bereich thermische Kraftwerke und Green Fuels. In der Abteilung bearbeiten wir Projekte im Rahmen unseres
übergeordneten Zieles der Dekarbonisierung. Dazu gehören Gasturbinenkraftwerke einschl. Gas- und
Dampfturbinen, Kesselanlagen (einschl. Abgasreinigung bis hin zu Carbon Capture) sowie jeglicher Nebenanlagen
bearbeitet. Innerhalb der Abteilung unterstützen wir vermehrt Projekte zur Dekarbonisierung von Sektoren/Industrien,
mittels grünen Wasserstoffs und Folgeprodukten, wie grünem Ammoniak/e-fuels/e-methanol. Unsere Leistungen
erbringen wir als Teil der Tractebel-Gruppe im Inland und weltweit. Ihre Aktivitäten umfassen im Wesentlichen:

 

 

  • Erstellung und ingenieurtechnische Umsetzung von Kraftwerksprojekten durch alle Planungsphasen (einschließlich deren Genehmigungsfähigkeit) bis zur Bau- und Inbetriebsetzung
  • Eigenverantwortliche Leitung des Projektes, Leitung des Projektteams und Koordinierung mit dem Kunden
  • Koordinierung interner und externer Partner
  • Sicherstellung der Sach-, Kosten- und Terminziele im Projekt

What you’ll be doing

 

Your responsibilities as a Power Transformer Expert. (F/M/X)

 

Within our department specialized in Electrical Equipment (EEQ), you have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and make a significant impact on our customers' operations.

  • Engage in all aspects of the electricity value chain, from production to industry, and stay updated on new transformer technologies and market trends.
  • Collaborate with universities and research centers locally and abroad, and be open to travel for interventions on industrial sites in Belgium and Europe.
  • Draft specifications for transformers, evaluate supplier offers, conduct design reviews, and follow up on manufacturing and construction at supplier facilities.
  • Perform condition assessments, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, simulations, and material analysis for operating transformers

Context:

The Expertise Center (EC) Quantitative Research and Modeling (QRM) within GEMS is a team of 30 quantitative analysts. Its mission is to provide advanced quantitative expertise to all Business Platforms (BP) of GEMS.

The quantitative developer would be part of the “Gas & Oil” quant team (approx. 10 people) but fully dedicated to Market Access Business Platform, and more specifically to Market Making Option Desk.

 

Role:

The quantitative developer should design and provide robust and performant quantitative tools that have a concrete impact on business.

 

  • Work very closely to the Market Access trading team and understand their business needs, provide them with high-quality quantitative support in their day to day activities.
  • Participate in enhancing existing pricing and managing framework.
  • Deliver ad hoc tactical solution as well as develop new pricer in the official pricing library.
  • Play a key role for developing new products (pricing, managing strategies, various risks identification, cross hedging among existing products).
  • Promote best coding practices that comply with general rules and standards.

Hard skills:

Strong Financial Mathematical background (probabilities, stochastic calculus, various numerical methods : monte-carlo, PDE, ...)
