In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code relating to the alternative dispute resolution, Consumer Ombudsman for the ENGIE Group is fully independent, with no hierarchical or functional ties to the Group, and operates with an autonomous budget. On 16 September 2025, Elisabeth Trocard was appointed Consumer Ombudsperson for the ENGIE Group by a joint appointment committee composed of representatives from accredited consumer associations and representatives of the ENGIE Group. She was approved on 29 December 2025 by the Consumer Mediation Evaluation and Control Commission (CECMC, a governmental commission) and registered on the list of mediators notified to the European Commission. Her mandate is for five years and may be renewed.
The Ombudsman for ENGIE Group’s organization was created in 1999.
The first Consumer Ombudsman for the ENGIE Group, Jean-Pierre Hervé, was approved in 2016, his mandate ended in 2025.
