Pauline is now heading to Australia for the Gold Cup in mid-May, before possibly taking part in the ISA World Championship in El Salvador (30 May - 6 June).
The 2 Team ENGIE kiters took bronze in this first World Cup stage of the season in Palma de Mallorca. The French delegation was on form, with 7 of the country’s kiters in the top 10 men/women.
Poema pulled out all the stops to win this creditable third place, the second French athlete on the podium alongside winner Lauriane Nolot.
“I’m happy to be on the podium after 5 hectic days of racing in such a strong fleet. I’m really satisfied with the start of the season but hungry for more!
Now my sights are fixed on the next race in Hyères, excited to be competing at home and looking forward to pushing even harder and racing well!”
Axel was also on form! Winning 3rd place, the Team ENGIE athlete was the top-ranking Frenchman.
The Team ENGIE athlete was placed 13th in this first major international meeting in Palma de Mallorca.
“13th at the finish, so close to the goal of being in the top 10. I’m happy to have made progress, with several rounds at the front, but there were too many blunders at the starting line to keep my performance regular this week! I’m going to work on this.”
Elodie wanted to do better, with hopes for a medal, but this creditable 6th place proves the regular performance of this Team ENGIE athlete!
ENGIE is supporting ten high-level athletes this year as part of the French Sports Foundation’s “Performance Pact”. The goal for the ten Team ENGIE athletes is naturally to qualify to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Team ENGIE, supporting their performance, revealing their talent!
